He radio's and says "I'm done, my tires and brakes are shot" and the starts slowing down. Ryan Newman comes to make the pass for the lead, at the instant NASCAR waves the yellow flag. It doesn't really start raining in that one corner until a couple minutes later.

I think they knew Jeff Gordon was giving up and Ryan Newman would take the lead, so they quickly threw out the yellow flag. NASCAR kisses Jeff Gordon and his crew's butt. It's obvious. He gets everything handed to him.

You Jeff Gordon lovers blame the tire issue all on Ryan Newman. Jeff tires were bad too. I'm NOT talking about Ryan Newman, I'm talking about Jeff Gordon here. Face up to the truth.

YUP! NASCAR ALWAYS CATERS TO THAT BABY, AND THAT MAKES ME HATE HIM MORE THAT I ALREADY DO. TOTALLY UNFAIR THE TIMING OF THE CAUTION. COME ON GUYS NEWMAN WAS ALL THERE.

You mean like Junior has since he came into the league? Nothing was handed to Gordon. His crew made one hell of a call to stay out then come in when the did. Maybe the other teams need to learn to read a weather radar?. Newman checked up because he SAW the rain before the flag flew, just like Gordon did. Gordon saw Newman coming and re accelerated. The corner was saturated by rain. The flag would have come at that time no matter who was there or what position they were in. If the cars had both ended up in the wall, you would be the first to ask why the caution was not thrown due to the rain immediately. Or, if Newman were leading and got passed by Gordon, you would probably be saying "why was the flag not thrown due to rain when Newman was leading." Only problem is it was Gordon, and that's your beef. It wasn't your driver that came out on top.

Another thing...all you 12 year old girls...please stop calling him Jeffy. None of you know him, and no, he's not your baby.

???? Okay I am not a big Gordon fan but last i knew the way one wins a race is to be in 1st place when it matters. Today Gordon (and his crewchief) made a calculated gamble and it paid off big. To think NASCAR is conspiring to help this guy or that is paranoid at best. If NASCAR wanted to conspire to help a racer for "the good of the sport" Gordon would not be their poster boy....Earnhardt Jr. would be the flavor of every month. In a dollars driven sport why would they not "help" the #1 money man in the sport (it isnt even close between him and any other driver when it comes to fan dollars spent on memoribilia). Besides I heard it quite different....Newman said his tires were shot. Every pit crew was well aware of the possibility of rain shortened racing...Gordon just was better at this situation than anyone else. The yellow flag came out to protect the racers...not to cater to Jeff Gordon!!

Thats exactly how it is. As soon as they seen Ryan Newman making a move they called the race. I don't know what it is but Nascar wants Jeff Gordon at the top. I guess they want to see him fall at the end like all of us do.

It may seem like that to you, but not to me, and trust me, I'm not exactly happy to see Gordon win either.
According to Newman when he was interviewed before the race was called, it was raining on his race car before he went to try to make the pass, that's why he charged at Gordon, because he knew that the caution was imminent.
It's more like what one of those commentators said, it's just Gordon's year, he's got all the luck in the world right now.
And no, I do not believe that NASCAR "caters" to certain drivers, it just looks like it.

Well, I don't see too many of the drivers, whining and crying right now, but there sure seems to be a bunch of whiners in here. I don't root for any driver. I just enjoy all the whining about, I don't like this track, I don't like the tires, I don't like the new car. Then people like you who think there is a conspiracy in NASCAR. It's a race, the rains came, the yellow flag came out. DONE. It's over, get over it. Sheesh. Grow up!!!

If you watch the instant replay it was Newman who slowed because he knew that racing Jeffy hard into the corner with shot tires, would most definitely crash them both. It was a smart and wise decision by them both. and if there was any other reason behind the flag being thrown at that particular moment is was strictly for that reason.

Jeff didn't grow up on his daddy's last name and has to fight for everything he's given. if nascar "catered" to him then why doesn't he just win every race then huh? because all you theorists know they can do that
gosh all you people just looking for a scapegoat for why your driver sucks.
Jeff wins his races and championships with his own ability and team. He gets nothing from NASCAR.
Trust me they know Junior is supposed to be the "golden boy." At the Coke 600 the announcers wouldn't say a damn thing about leaders but if Junior even when he was 19th passes a lap down car you knew about it.
And thats the only truth i can face.
NAscar really caters to jeff

Let me guess. Mother Nature caters to him also. I thought so. I thought I heard her saying, "Newman is getting close. Here. have a rain storm.".

I suppose you missed the burst of speed he had to stay in the lead???? I suppose it's NASCAR's fault for making the track too big??? stewart even said that the back could be rained on and the front be dry.

HMS must have paid of God too, huh??? Don't talk on the phone. THEY ARE WATCHING YOU!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH
The CIA needs more people like you.
