Wait forever. This is the number one rule of dating. You don't date your friends ex.

If the friendship with the other one is important to you, I'd either not ask the one you're interested in out at all (Friends Don't Date Other Friends' Exes) or talk to the friend about it first to see if it will be okay. You don't want to potentially ruin a good friendship over someone you wanna..... do (for lack of a better phrase).

I would generally say a month, but if they went out for a year, you might wanna go for a little longer then that- try 2 or three. what often happens is that they will break up and go back out again, especially when they went out for that long. Also, make sure you ask your girl friend before you ask him out-- if she says yes, go for it, if she says no wait a little longer because he might not be ready either. also make sure not to set your self up as a rebound or to make your friend jealous. That can happen after break ups especially if you two are close!

Well first of all friends don't date other friends bf's, or ex bf's or gf's. That's just wrong. So move on to someone who isn't a friend's ex, or someone that a friend likes or used to like. TOO MUCH akwardness.

its too akward, dont do it. Besides, alot of couples who are no longer together still end up having sex for a while after they break up, I dont get why, but they do

well it depends if ur a guy or not if ur a guy dont if ur a girl do it cause if ur a guy their's a big chance of a fight but with girls theres less of a chance
