wow those who insulted you by calling you a christian sure don't read your q&a's do they?

The closest answer would be a) One who has no belief in a god or gods.

Based on the WORDING in the dictionary, it would be closer to B, in the sense that atheism is the belief in the doctrine of the non-existence of god or gods. A is simply nontheism.

Your question, however, is a little insulting. Here's an example of a similar question where the dictionary-correct definition is couched in similar terminology.

Pick one: Which is the correct definition of "Christian."
a) A follower of the Buddha.

b) A narrow-minded, bigoted warmongering follower of Christ who attempts to impose her belief on all others.

So, which one would you say is correct?

A!

Thankx for the 2 points.

I'm not going to sway you over to science and reason and away from superstition in a Yahoo answers blurb.

But y'now something, I don't want to. I'm not out to convert you.
I've found more religious people attempt to convert Atheists than vice versa. We have freedom FROM religion here in this country if we so choose. That means the right to be left alone and not get a hard sell on spiritual matters ifwe're hust not interested.

I'm hugely laughing at some of the above answers. How on earth could anybody assume that you are a Christian?

If somebody could be an atheism ambassador, you'd be high on my list.

Anyway, it's "A", of course. Although statistics say that 97% of the Christians think it's B.

No it is not obvious that a god exists, and I find the implication insulting

Sort of. Murder is killing a human, not an animal as many people believe. But, different to what your definition says, even if it is not unlawful, it is still murder.

The answer is 'a'.

'B' is a statement typically associated with intellectually and emotionally retarded conservative Christians - and we know all to well that they are real.
