Yes it does, it applies to any passenger area in the vehicle. You also shouldn't be carting people around in the trunk, it doesn't have seats and seatbelts for a reason. Lastly, why are you drinking 40's? Don't you people have any class?

It sure does. Sorry!!! The open container law states that the occupant/passenger compartment will have no open alcohol containers. If you make your trunk a passenger compartment, (also, very illegal...) you extend the container restriction to the trunck as well. Anyhow, it sounds like you will have an interesting story to tell your grandkids about when you went to to jail... later
