There are so many different butters out on the market. What is the best butter out there, that is the healthiest. I only occasionally eat it on bread with dinner.

Real butter is preferable to margerines. Read labels.

Butter is butter. They are all made from churned cream. The only differences you will find is salted or unsalted. They all have apprx 12 grams of fat and 100 calories per tablespoon. If you are looking for butter alternatives the choices are many and most of them bad for you. If you are just putting it on bread consider olive oil as it has no cholesterol.

I saw an Oprah show once when she had a doctor on talking about unhealthy foods. She asked him if there was anything that he would never eat & he said 'any' margarine. Have always used real butter ever since in very small quantities. On corn, the 'I can't believe it's not butter' spray is pretty good. Again, just enough to make it taste good.

Actually none are really better than others. Try the I CANT BELIEVE ITS NOT BUTTER brand. Or if you have an organic store in your area try there. All butter is full of fat. You might also try the butter buds. Most anything you think tastes the best isn,t very good for your health though.

If you only eat it occasionally, why not just eat butter. Mixing it with oil is not less fattening. Lower percentage of saturated fat and cholesterol yes but not lower calorie.

what my family does is buy regular butter and mix equal amounts of canola oil with it. example: one stick of butter with 1/2 cup of canola oil. you mix it with an electric mixer and the butter will be more liquidy, but it's less fatning
