My cat spent over 5 years with me, in the last year I moved to 3 different location with my cat, in that last location my cat went out after may be 1 week and never came back. Now more than 3 months had passed and I did not find him any where; some people says that male cat leave there place when they get older; does any one experienced that?

I agree with Pretty Kitty if he was not neutered he either went looking for a female in season and/or found a new home or got into a situation he could not make it out of. Next time leave your cat inside and if he was not neutered get your next one neutered.

They don't just leave 'when they get older'. They will tend to roam if they're not neutered, but even if your cat was neutered I think you're problem here was letting the cat go out so soon. They need to be kept inside for a mimimum of 2 weeks after moving - longer if they've lived in a few different places. Either something happened to him when he was out, or he just left because he didn't feel like he had an established home. I've never heard the tale that male cats 'leave' when they get older - it really isn't true.

Peepinpep may be right. You should check the last place he felt like he was at home. I have a male cat that found his way back to our old home. It took him 3 months. I had already given the new owners the heads up (just on the wildest chance) and my phone number and I had posters up all over the place. One day they called me to tell me he was there! His feet were raw and bleeding, patchy fur, and had lost so much weight you could see his backbone just under his fur. I never really expected him to go home again, but I wanted to cover all bases.
The place we moved to was 32 miles from our old house. I don't know how far away it is "as the crow flies". But he made it and that all I care about.

He was, and still is the best cat that ever owned me!

I am so sorry that happened to you. Is it possible that he tried to find his way back to your previous location? I had a male cat years ago that did that. Of course, something could have happened to him which I know you would rather not think about. I don't know what is worse ,though. Knowing or not knowing. I hope the best for ya.

three months is long time I afraid your cat will never come back, i do not want to make you sad, but the fact is that cats do not like to change the place where they grown, we as humen can recongnize that we are moving also we recongnize our new home, but the animal finds himself suddenly out of Cage around a new home, which he does not even know that this home belongs to you, so once he is outside, he is absolutely lost, he will keep on walking untill he reaches another unknown area and so on.

Sorry about your cat. Cats don't handle change very well, so the move probably scared him off. Hopefully he found his way to another home and he's safe and well cared for now.

If he wasn't fixed, he probably went looking for love and either found a new home or encountered trouble and couldn't make it back. So sorry that happened. ♥
