I really hate it. I have bad headaches, and sometimes when I am coming home from work I have one. Then a person will pull up beside me with their speakers so loud that my car vibrates. If it isn't dangerous, why are there noise ordinances against it because you cannot hear an emergency vehicle, and it is a public nuisance.

Not really. There was a time when I didn't have a CD player/radio in my car (for about six months)...I didn't mind it at all when I was next to someone with a loud stereo---especially if it was a good song!
Now, if they are doing it in the middle of the night, and disturbing the peace, then yes, it's somewhat rude....but they'll probably get a ticket for it anyway!

Yes, and especially with the big Bass boom box things, and not to mention the "fart pipes".
That is why counties and states are now enacting laws about.
Here in Northern VA, if you can hear a car stereo from 50 feet away, it's a violation against the noise ordinance.

I think it's rude, crude and lewd! There have been times when I've been sitting at a stoplight and one of these "punks" will pull up next to me and my car literally vibrates! And then the music they have on is usually spewing some derogatory word like the F word or Ho's & b****. It's total noise pollution, and there are supposeldly laws against it, but they never do anything about it. Another thing that really bothers me happened just an hour ago, while at a light waiting, a loud motorcycle rider, who was going the opposite direction, reved up his hog or beast or whatever they call them and it was so loud it literally made my ear ache when it happened and it still does! Some people are so damn inconsiderate and selfish!

It is one of the few things that produces road rage in me. The sound of the bass hurts my ears in a bad way. When people think it's not hurting anyone they are wrong. The frequency is extremely painful for me. I am a musician and need my hearing to be good. I don't need someone I don't even know to ruin it for me. I also usually have audiobooks in my car and invariably some selfish person refuses to let me hear the end of the chapter! I have my own things to listen to. I don't need to be interrupted for some song calling me a B**** Ok enough of my rant.

Its not rude, its their car. They have the right to listen to what they want, and how loud they listen. You're not forced to hear it for a long time, like at a house party, its only several seconds so its not disturbance of the peace.
You can bump your music if you want to as well. Granted it may be kind of annoyin, especially if you dont listen to their type of music.I hate when people pump up their loud metal goth music.
I have two 10 inch alpine type S subs, an 800 watt amp, and new deck. I usually keep my music loud.
I always check my mirrors for ambulances etc...

If you want to listen to it that loud, put on headphones. Your rights end when my right to a modicum of quietness is expected. I don't want to listen to gangster rap where every other verse is a cuss word. Keep your music and your ghetto life away from me. I am against censorship, but when I hear noise from two miles away it is more than inconsiderate and disrespectfully to a lot of people. Don't be dissing me in my neighborhood mf. There's a time and place for everything. Respect peoples right to not have to live with constant noise -- as in prison.

Not only rude and stupid, but also illegal in some states. In California, if a sound from a car can be heard at 30 feet, you can get a ticket.
Normally cops do not pay any attention, but if a cop has nothing better to do, you can get a ticket.

Yes, but even though my bro does it I still think that it is so unconcincious. And the only way I would like it is if the music they blare is good.
