We have put them in the litter box and have made them scratch their paws around in it so they understand that's where the "potty" is. But they just eat it. Which I don't understand. They have been eating their kitten food also.
Now, I am desprate. They both have urinated on my new king size down quit ($100). And it's dry clean only.
I called the place where we got them and ask if they were litter trained, she said that they were.
Am I doing something wrong? Of what do I need to do to help them? Did this gal let them go too early? If so, would it be rude to ask her to pay for my dry cleaning bill?

We had them sleep in the bathroom with the litterbox and the food dishes. To get use to it. But they haven't even gone to the bathroom.

They need to be with their mother. They are WAY to young to be separated, in fact, they should still be drinking their mother's milk. 8 weeks is when puppies and kittens can be removed from their mother.
I honestly don't know what you could do about the urinating. Every cat I and my family have had just instinctively knows to use the litter box. With your situation, I am fully attributing the problem to the fact that they are far too young to be along.
My only solution would to take the kittens back to the mother for another 8 weeks. They need it, health wise, mostly, and so they can mature and actually be able to climb into the litter box.
I don't think asking the woman to pay for your dry cleaning bill would be rude. I also think you should report her to animal control.

I have 2 cats. A few months ago, we adopted a kitten and she was litter trained, but once we got her home, she was pooping and peeing on the floor where the litter box was, so we had to buy another litter box. Do you have other cats in the home besides the 2 kittens? If you do, get another box for your 2 kittens because they are funny about using other litter boxes.
As for their age, it was way too early to have those kittens removed from their mother because when they are finally weaned from their mother's milk, that's when their independence starts.

The babies are to young to be away from Mom and probably aren't fully litterbox trained yet. I would confine them to a small space like a large dog crate or bathroom with their litterbox and be sure to place them into the box after they eat and when they wake up. It will take a little time for them to learn but they will learn if you give them some time.
Also you may want to buy some Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) to add to their food since they should still be nursing off of Mom cat. Good luck with your babies! :)

first of all the kittens are WAY to young to leave teh mother.
They shouldn't leave mom until 8 weeks old.
They must have just been weaned/usually done at 4-5 weeks old.
Mom would have just started to train tehm about a litter box.
At 4 weeks they are just starting to get on their feet.
It's the age of 5-8 weeks that mom starts to train them about litter boxes, how to play right, and not to bite hard.
It's going to just take time and continuosly teaching tehm to go to the litter box.
It's easier if you confine them to a room and not allow them the run of the house yet. tehy need to learn where the litter box is.Also they don't have full control yet. Mom would have still been cleaning up after them.
These kittens are even to young to get vets. I suggest to call the vet you plan to use and find out when tehy start shots. being away from mom and her milk they are not getting teh immunity.
Well Good Luck and just be pateint

Yes, she let them go way too early! The kittens should have been kept with the mother for another couple weeks to learn "litter box etiquette."
Right now all you can do is keep the kittens in one area, don't allow them to go all over the house. Keep them confined to one room with a clean catbox that is easily accessible. They do not need to run around so much at this time in their life.

First confine them (as much as you can) in the small area such as your bathroom and place the litter box there. They have to learn where it is and how to use it for a while. It is NORMAL for a young kitten to make mistake, be patient. Try it for couple weeks, and if does not improve, try different brand of litter box. If still does not improve, take them to a vet, may be something wrong with them. Usually stress related.

They are actually a bit young to even be weaned. You can try confining them in a large crate with a litter box in it for a while. They should get the idea.
Also, for their health, you might want to supplement them with some kitten replacement milk.

They are too young to seperate from the mother. That is why you have all these problems.
