Time and God are infinite so how did he create that? I bet you cant answer that. By the way, Even if humans didnt invent time, there would still be a past, present, and future. So.... explain.

God is so awesome--time to Him is as a grain of sand.

We are nothing--yet GOD LOVES US SO MUCH!!

I think this would be the "first mover' idea. And God was that first mover, and before then there was nothing - no time, space...anything. As soon as he moved, time and matter were created.
Even with the idea there is no God, this idea is hard to understand. How is it possible that there was either 1) Always a universe and time or 2) It somehow happened all at once in a 'big bang' kind of deal.
I think this question has a lot less to do with the idea of God and more with the idea of 'forever' - good question though.

Man created the concept of time...God did not. Having a past, present and future are of the physical plane of existence, not the spiritual.

The same way he created matter or space. To explain how it all was created from nothing we have to add up an unnecesary inteligent being in the middle to just do the same we could explain at the begining, create something from nothing.

I don't understand it.

See ya!

Time is not in reality, something that even exists.
It is an illusion, we as beings in this reality, can only see our little parts in it, and it progressing one second at a time.
Reality is one big moment, all of it is.
you are always in the present moment aren't you?
always, still are...still are...see?
the past and future are illusion
My god is the God of the present moment

something that annoys me is that they says that God was at the beggining of it all.
If God CAN be at the beggining of it all, without having to havea creator, why can't the universe be the same? Even scientific evidence supports the latter.....why walk around until you distort a piece of information?
Yes, science hasn't explained half of what is out there, YET.
Just wait. Just wait.

Conclusion

We know God is the cause of the universe and we know time (succession) did not exist "prior to" the beginning of the universe, so if God caused the universe to come into being He had to do so before time. But it is impossible to have a "before time" because before is itself a temporal word. Talking about what happened before time is like talking about what is north of the North Pole, or talking about temperatures lower than absolute zero. There is nothing north of north, and nothing lower than zero. These are mental constructs only, having no ontological basis in reality. The beginning of time is a boundary beyond which only our imagination can travel.5 Trying to find time before the beginning is like trying to cross the boundary of space into spacelessness. There is no space on the other side of space in which to cross over into, and likewise there is no time on the other side of the beginning to go back to.

Rather than thinking of God's existence in terms of before and after creation, it is better to think of God's existence in terms of without and with creation. It is meaningless to even think of God's decision to create, and His act of creation in terms of when. God simply created from eternity.

We still might ask, But at what point in time did the universe emerge from eternity? At the beginning of time. One may quip, But that does not answer the question! It does answer the question, but not in a way we temporally-bound creatures can wrap our minds around. We exist in a time-space-matter continuum, and as such we can only think in terms of time and space.6 Because every thought and act in our world is measured by time it is difficult for us to comprehend and accept the notion that God's pre-creation existence was void of temporal relations. The simple fact remains that asking when the universe emerged from eternity is like asking what was before time, which is an oxymoron. Maybe we could answer the question, When did God create the cosmos? by saying In no time at all

Someone already asked this question before, time is just a word, to label and keep us organized. Did god really have to invent everything? C'mon give me some credit jeez.

OK genius, there is time now, correct. Well man is too stupid to create it, but it is here so I guess it had to be God's creation. Just like the heavens and the earth.

No beginning, no end. What's the problem?

- the past is gone - non-existent.
- the future has not occured - non-existent
- the "present" has no meaning when past & future do not exist.
- there is no "existence" without time. there exists no "time"

Do you think there really is an answer?

Time is an effect of the natural law set into motion by god...Up until humans LEARNED to measure time, there was nonon, so to speak.
