you love your friend to death. that's all that should matter. whatever sexual orientation he is, is between him and God. God forgives right? so why does your religion come into play? keep your friend.

Homosexuality is not a matter for religious belief!
Homosexual inclination exists in society, we don't know why.
The Church teaches that we are to love all God's people.
We are to treat homosexual people with respect & dignity.
What the Church cannot condone is homosexual activity.
We believe that sex is a gift from God, to make children.
It is not to be used for entertainment outside of marriage.
Marriage being defined as between a man & woman.
You don't say whether this 'gay' friend is the same gender.
Assuming your 'love' is confined to friendship, go ahead.
S/he may very well value your friendship & support.

Thats ok, I understand what you mean. I'm catholic and I personally don't approve of homosexuallity but I do believe in God's love which is unconditional. From what I believe, you should love all people despite their backgrounds or what they've done. Some people are just jerks, so its harder to do. If your friend is a good person, then that should be enough. Not everyone is perfect. I think the basis of our religion is keeping to the golden rule and treating everyone like your own brother and sister. Just love.

Im not sure what your religion is but if you are any of the multiple Judeo-Christian religions then there is no choice to make. You should hate the sin, love the sinner. You need to have a serious discussion with your pastor/preacher/rabbi. A persons choices in life are theres alone to live with . Your choice is to practice being a good and accepting person who is tolerant of others beliefs , even if they contradict yours.

First of all WRONG CATEGORY, so first you need to get a clue.

Second, you'll go farther in life if you accept the fact that the word WHAT has an "H" in it.

Third: get off your high horse. Accepting people for who they are and how God made them is the way to go.

Oh and by the way, I'm Catholic. I choose to embrace and practice my religion and love my God but that doesn't mean I have to accept all that the human hierarchy tells me I should believe. I refuse to believe the God I love would not welcome us all to his table.

ADDITIONAL
Wow, let me tell ya all that our Miss Blueberry just sent me the most scathing email. Hmmmm, I'm not sure her church would approve, just a thought.
It kills me how some people are all holier than thou and passing judgment on people when they are the biggest sinners of them all. Hmmm, Jerry Falwell anyone? James Baker? Tra, laa, laa. she seems a bit unhappy.

Why do you have to do anything? Are you totally free from sin? Should everyone shun you because you are a sinner? Did Christ say, "Anyone who has sinned, stay away from Me!"

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

do you really believe that your friend is wronge for their choice no then maybe you should think of other things that your religion may or may not be against, maybe it time not to have blind faith and start asking questions (support your friend)

Your religion also says "Don't judge"
It promotes love, peace and fellowship.

Keep your friend. Let God sort it all out.
