I know that, usually, when a cat waves or swishes its tail, that means it is angry or annoyed. However, my cat waves and swishes her tail all of the time...even when she is showing that she is content and happy. I've actually never seen her hold it still. Is there any other reason a cat would wave its tail?

There's a difference.
Cats Waving there tail nicely from side to side is a sign of affection or that they are comfortable.
When they a WHIPPING ti from side t side, or swishing it in sort of jerky motions, that is showing aggression.

not all cats try this. relatively if the cat if a protracted fur cat and has a heavy tail it hardly waves that is tail. yet, whilst a cat waves that is tail it incredibly is often because of the fact it incredibly is satisfied or it incredibly is on the prowl. It relies upon on how the cat reacts to issues. not all cats relatively use the comparable alerts.

Maybe she is happy all the time. I've always heard a cat waves its tail when its happy or when its enjoying itself. I think when a cat is angry it hisses or puts its ears down.

A cat's tail is like a persons face. It depend son the situation. If there annoys it sways or thumps the ground. if there happy it sways, kind of like a dog wags it's tail

I tend to agree with the others. She show signs of being a happy and contented kitty. If you have major concerns about this, speak to your vet. But I think you have a very happy cat!

I have one cat that when you really start to pet and rub her she wags her tail like a dog. She is extremely happy. I guess it depends on the cat, because her brother doesn't do that at all.

You should look for the tip of the tail kind of moving left to right.. that shows anger or irritation.
