Why do you need religion to get you through the day? Are you so weak that you can't do that yourself?

Religion is not what gets me through the day. What gets me through is knowing that my Salvation is secure in Jesus Christ and that I am a child of the King.

religion doesn't get me through the day - God does.
God has nothing to do with religion. Religion is man made. Some people take comfort in man's attempt to define who God is and what he wants.

blessings :)

Understood. Sorry for being so guard against trolls. I will go into the question and give a more solid answer.

Getting through the day:

There are times in the day when I don’t know what to so with myself. Times where I need to turn off the world and be very quiet within so that I can get direction from my master. My master never shouts. Instead he waits for me to settle down and, again, get very quiet so that I can hear his still small voice.

My master said this:
My sheep hear my voice.

Actually, I will paste the quote with more of its surrounding text because it also has to do with getting through the day. Here it is:

Book of John Chapter 10
But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
I and my Father are one.
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
----Btw, the reason they were going to stone him was because he was making himself out to be God, the Jews said.---

There’s really a lot more than I could ever say here but I will post some what comes to mind based on years being taught and following my master. As you probably have figured out by now, my master is Jesus…the one from Nazareth.

So, it ends up that if I try to get through he day on my own…without my shepherd that is…. Then one of the first things I loose is peace. But, when I am listening to him and following after him then I have an inner rest and life that flows within that does not depend on outer circumstances.

Believe me, following him is very challenging and painful at times. However, if I keep my focus on him and listen for his voice then at the same time of the challenge, he also gives an abiding rest and strength.

Having to do with that; here’s another quote from Christ:

Book of Matthew Chapter 11
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light

it does it by giving sense to stuff that never used to make sense...the good stuff never needed and explaination, but the bad stuff, well, it never made sense and just left that bad taste...until now...
