Please, only answer if you are religiously savvy enough to know that angels and man are two different orders of creation, according to Christianity.

How can an angel rebel against God? Humans are special because they were given free will - but how can Satan rebel? Can another angel rebel? If so, how would we know?

And do most people realize that the fall of Lucifer is majorly from Paradise, and not completely Biblical as we think of it?

Angels never rebel in my neck of the woods. We shot the last one that came over, (the harp playing was annoying my dog), and since then no fictional, non-existent, superstitious creatures have bothered us ! Let them know who is BOSS !

Luke 10:18 Jesus is saying, 'He replied, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.'
Satan (when his name was Lucifer) was not content to be the most beautiful angel God made. He was so full of himself that he convinced a full third of the host of angels to rebel against God and take over heaven. God being who He is, squashed the rebellion and...well, read the verse above.
It is true that man and angel are two different orders of creation. Some argue that angels do not have free will, but if this were so, how could Satan and a third of all the angels choose to rebel?
The question is, did Satan fall to Hell or did he fall to earth to tempt and lead humanity into perdition? That's what I'd like to know.

angels do not have free will...

What needs to be understood first and foremost is that nothing has any power or ability to defy G-d that G-d has not given and allowed to be used. Humans have the ability to “fall” because G-d provides us the ability as assess good and evil and choose between them. I am not satisfied that Bereishis (Genesis) 6:1-2 involves anything other than human beings, but let’s say, since we are speaking of an esoteric passage about an esoteric subject, that there really were some angels that G-d gave some limited ability to “choose” and some of these had human/angel involvements.

Even if this actually occurred, these angels would still be unable to defy G-d in any way other than what G-d allowed, and they could not exist for even an instant longer than G-d allowed them to exist. In other words, they would still be doing G-d’s bidding, for G-d created evil as a mechanism which “people” could use to raise themselves to spiritual heights unattainable any other way.

Angels could rebel for exactly the same reason humans can - they are creatures with free will. Humans make their decision where they will spend eternity while they are on earth, and that decision, once their earthly life is over, is final. Angels were created already in heaven, and they too had the chance to freely choose loyalty to God or rebellion against Him, and their choice too was final.

That is not to be taken literally. In fact,it doen't even mean anything.Christianity(and mainly catholicism as far as i know)is full of those empty and nosense explanations of why the sin exists if God is such a great guy.But they have a lot of mistakes. And this is one of those stories needed:an angel who rebels against God is used to explain temptation and the sin itself.

I know that explanation of what happened with Satan is not presented anywhere on the bible so it has just to be a creation of dont know who in the christian sphere. It sounds good at first sight but if you read it twice errors like those you point at come up to your mind.Answers don't come anytime. Not from you,not from me,not from the one who invented that, not from the Pope...So don't expect them.

See ya!

God is very good to humans compared to angels, because Lucifer didn't "rebel" so literally he just thought that he could be greater than God, and that was enough to doom in the hell that he created

They must have free will also. The bible says humans are a little lower than angels so they must have free will and must be more spiritually advanced than us. They are not perfect so it is possible but less likely for them to rebel also.

Old Testament prophets spoke of basically pride being in him, thinking he could be equal or higher than God. Jude tell of angels leaving their first calling. So the angels must have had free will, and were able to be deceived, as 1/3 of them fell.

Angels can't rebel.
Satan rebelled because he's not an angel,he's jinn(another order of creation.but yes he was good before he did so)

Lucifer is an attempt to refute the Promethean idea of polytheistic religions.

Monotheism tells us to submit to god, so the idea that a supernatural being gave us the ability to raise ourselves above dumb beasts had to be countered.
