I am going to be babysitting a autistic little boy this summer. (he is eight) How much should I charge an hour. I was thinking maybe 6 or 7 dollars an hours.

I use to babysit an autistic boy and his twin sister many years ago and I charged 5 an hour....I would say 6-7 would be proper to charge though.

Good luck...have you taken training or research autistic children and their behaviors? My twin cousins are autistic and they are pretty good kids for the most part! Good luck to you!!

I think that's fair. unless you have special abilities and or training associated with caring for autistic children, then you could go a few dollars higher.
Special feeding needs, house care, or other duties should also be considered in the charge.
If this is only for a few hours a day or on the weekend evenings, 6 or 7 an hour is fine.
If it's a long term live-in for a few weeks or months, I would consider less of a charge. More like $400.00 per week if they provide all the food and other necessities.

I think that's about right. Have you done your hw on this autistic child. They aren't all the same. Good luck and have fun.

it depends how many hours you are working and how much work is involved..$6 or 7 seems fair though.
