I had this problem a few months agao. It wasn't from lack of sleep. I was just wearing my body out during the day. I got plenty of sleep at night, but I was constantly moving for 18+ hours everyday, and eating MAYBE 3 times a day. The doc told me that I had to lighten my load (a hard task for a full-time nanny, coming home to additional housework on a regular basis, working occasional weekends, and keeping up a strong relationship with my BF and with friends and family, all while trying to lose some weight). So if your workload is very heavy as mine was, nothing is gonna work except giving your body more down time. Eight hours a night wasn't enough for me, maybe you need to lighten your load.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.
http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11/27/causes-of-dark-circles/
If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

I have a friend who had that trouble. She uses Mary Kay firming eye cream. It has reflectors in it to make the dark circles look brighter. Also, she had some sun and that helped also. If you try the Mary Kay and it doesn't work, at least you can get your money back. Also, they have even complexion essance that will help too. I can put you in touch with my my Mary Kay consultant if you would like. Just send me an e-mail.

odds are your skin is like mine and you can sleep for days in a cucumber bath and still end up up with raccoon eyes. Your skin is probably thinner then usual in that area and you have to use a concealer if you want any results. Honestly unless you find a skin thickener which i haven't heard of yet, you might need to use just use make up. tea, cucumber and sleep will only help with blood vessel enflamation and puffyness.

sometimes the darkeness under your eyes is just a result of your genetics, nothing you do will get rid of them entirely. Try using a good concealer to cover it up. Sorry about your problem. Ah, you may want to try a fade cream, with hydroquinone. be careful though not to get it in your eyes.

Look for homeopath / ayurved solution. This will be a permanent solution with minimum cost and without any side effect.
