We don't really celebrate nudity as a lifestyle. As for underwear, as long as it's not something that one advertises, especially during church services, etc., then why worry? The only time is if you have had your temple endowments and have temple garments. If you have your endowments, you're supposed to wear your garments as much as possible. Bathing, swimming and other forms of sports participation, these are times when you don't have to wear them. I even had a friend tell me that she decided that when she mows her lawn, she wears a bathing suit and short shorts and not her garments, and I said, hey! Sounds reasonable to me!
No, we promote chaste clothing (but not prudish).

Get out as quickly as you can! Any church that tells you when and where to wear ugly, uncomfortable, underwear is way too controlling! They dont even come out with all their wacky nonsense till you have been in for a while and by then, you realize you have wasted all that tithe money so you will end up just going along with the program and going "All- Natural" on the side when nobody is looking. The point is, NOBODY SHOULD CARE WHAT YOU WEAR AT HOME! This wacko church says "Dont take off your ugly underwear unless bathing, swimming, or sports." Cut your losses now before they really come down with their weirdness!

Well, once a member of the LDS Church goes through a Temple for the first time to receive their own endowments, they are asked to wear what are called "temple garments," a type of underwear that serves the purpose of reminding individuals of the covenants they made with God.
As to the specifics of when and where you can go au natual, check with your bishop; he'll be able to provide the specifics of temple garment use (there are certain times you don't have to wear them, like with bathing).

The garment is a symbol of a covenant you make with God almighty. Just be glad it's not like the garment worn by orthodox jews. If you are recent converts, you haven't made these covenants yet, and when you get to that point, you have the option to withdraw of your own free will before entering into those covenants.
As for the heat of Vegas, I lived there for three years and wore them. My father lives there now and has no qualms about it. Just be grateful you're not a pioneer eeking out your existence subsistence farming in the Utah salt flats.

There is a precedent on the use of underwear. This is one of the things that the church has regulated.
Don't chalk up the "underwear thing" to the Puritans because it didn't come from there. It is a mixture of peculiar ideas from Masons, the occult and other sources.
The church will look down on you for what you do.

Yes, you are probably interested in a temple marriage. Once you are accepted, you must wear temple garments under your clothes at all times. (Except swimming, athletics, etc.) Your wife would be required to wear them. Thongs and au naturale are not allowed. If they say otherwise, they are not being honest with you.

If you get sealed in the Temple and receive your Endowments, you will covenant to wear particular modest clothes for your whole life. You should investigate a `temple prep' class to learn about this.

Boy, are you and Paris/Ashley gonna be in for it when the Bishop interviews you for the temple prep class, or other 'positions'. Sooner or later one of the good sisters will complain to the Bishop that your wife is distracting their husbands by "making them look at her".
If somehow you get through the temple prep class, you'll be introduced to the concept of "garments", or holy ugly underwear.
Please let us know how this develops...

That wouldn't be accepted by the mormon church. They do those things to have control of their members. Honestly, if I were you, I would get out as quickly as I could.
