I know Its a polish pastry. They are these balls of like sweet bread or dough of some sort with some type of glaze over them. Does anyone know the name, and does anyone have a recipe?

It has a solid dough center, and the glaze on the outside is hardened.

it's probably a piernik (polish spice cake. pronounced: pee-YAIR-nik). the cookie form, 'pierniki", like piernik (the cake or bread form), is also flavoured with spices and glazed with honey. they are generally made during christmas. i love eating them!

there's another variety of polish cookie, kolacki (pronounced: ko-WACH-ki), which is a jam filled cookie (jam flavours vary). it's also made during christmas. i'm sure it's not the pastry you are talking about but they're really yummy!
