Running an hour a day can help you lose weight, but not every day. Unless you're sprinting, running more than 4 times a week does not make a difference. Another reason not to run more than 4 times a week is that it will cause a lot of problems with your body especially your knees. Your body just isn't meant to run that often. Do sit ups and push ups. Believe me, exercises like that really help. Don't do them too often, because your body needs time to rebuild your muscle.

Along with excercise, you need a healthy diet. Eat many small meals through out the day to keep your metabolism up. Since you're young, you probably have a good metabolism already. Don't screw it up by not eating anything. Drink lots of cold water. This will make you less hungry, help your metabolism, and cleans your kidneys so they are able to burn more fat. Don't eat anything for 3 hours before you go to bed, because then you don't have much time to burn calories.

If you do this, you should see results almost immediately.
Take this all into consideration, but don't worry about it too much. Really, there are a lot more important things in life to be worried about, and obsessing over weight just adds unneeded stress. Good luck!

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

It does not just depend on your exercise plan, it is also your diet. I couldnt tell you if I think your at a "decent" weight because I have no idea what your height is.

You should cut out the junk food and soda. If you must drink soda, drink diet, it has 0 calories. AND remember, the first 20 mins of a cardio workout are burning carbs... and that time is longer if you eat alot of carbs.

Remember to drink lots of water and ALWAYS stretch before and after a workout!
