Yeah I was wondering about them, because I don't really know much about them.

1. Are they semi affordable, or worth what they cost?
2.do you need any other software to work it?
3. Do they actually work as well as just drawing?

I would really appreciate knowing what you think about any of these.

no, I consider them quite expensive and I've never had much luck with comparing them to drawing.

Its a little closer than a mouse, but kinda complicated.
I always bought cheap pads, but had problems like the pad still recognizing my movements with the pen 5 inches aways from the tablet.

make sure you can return it. try not to buy it online since returning is difficult and time consuming

I guess you really get what you pay for ya know? be prepared to spend at least 400$ I'd say.

no outside software is needed. it's drivers comes with the tablet.
now having a program like photoshop will be a necessity to utilize the pen pressure feature and to simply draw, but its easy to intergrate the tablet. photoshop will just accept it as easy it does your mouse.

Good luck. remember, be sure you can return it if your not satisfied
