The physical man named Jesus was the "outer master" to his followers during that time. The spiritual being named (the) Christ is the inner master for all times, or the eternal master. The eternal master is the Word, the Tao, the Shabda, the Sound Current, which God will place at least one in physical form on the planet at all times to guide those who are ready to return home. The eternal master, "the Christ" has appearaed in physical form many times before Jesus and many times since.

(Yeshua) Jesus the Christ (Messiah) is an historic figure who was the physical embodiment of the triune living God.

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic -- on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg -- or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to." – C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Nobody was named Christ. Christ is a descriptive title of the divine Person become man, named Jesus. This Person was eternal, but before becoming man He was not known as either Jesus or the Christ.

The short answer: One person of the Trinity, two distinct natures (i.e. human & divine). Biblically, you cannot compare one person; neither can you *divide* the two natures of Christ, but you can distinguish & compare the two natures of the One person.

Do you realize what a huge question this is? Most the divisions of denominations hang on this controversy.

If you're really interested in the history of this controversy, read the Lutheran Confessions (online at: www.lcms.org >Belief & Practice >Lutheran Confessions). The fact that Biblically a person cannot divide the two natures of Christ is the basis for real presence in the Lord's Supper.

The human experiencing being . . . Jesus the man.
.
The Word...the Light who both is and of " God " the One. . . That Light.

For souls living a human experience having another physical human being to actually see, hear and talk with...learn from...that was the gift.

Answer that I'm trying to convey is one of explaining " levels " and " depths " ot the Light of " God " the One. Jesus the man and the Christness of Jesus . . .levels of explanation.

Joy be that Light of Jesus Christ...us...and the united oneness of all. The Light is the Way and the Light is of all.

They are one and the same. Jesus Christ, (Christ meaning the anointed one), was the Messiah, yet He was rejected by His people as such. Yet, He saved His people from their sins, not the influence of Rome. Although that came later, much as a result of the spread of Christianity in the region.

Jesus Christ is one and the same. 'Jesus' is the name of God's Son and 'Christ' means 'anointed one'. A title given to Jesus. There shouldn't be any confusion as to the name and being of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God's Son, Our Saviour, The Messiah.

For about 33 years, they were one in the same.

The resurection happened and his eartly body was transformed,(much as ours will be one day) into his spiritual body.

Christ Jesus will return once again to collect all of us that have believed upon his name.
He will then return once more to give out the final penalty phase to the devil himself and the old heaven and earth will pass awau and the new heaven and new earth will replace the ones tainted by sin. At this point, we will all be back in perfect union with God as we were in the days before original sin of Adam and Eve.

This question is incredibly flawed for one reason. Christ is meant to be a title, not a name. So, I guess I would say that these are one in the same.

This analogy may be helpful.
A perfectly pure and polished mirror will reflect the suns heat and light when held in front of it. It will even show the image of the sun inside it.
This perfectly pure and polished mirror was Jesus.
The sun represents symbolically God.
The mirror reflecting all the Glory, the Light and Heat of the sun for mankind, represents Christ.
