He works at an $8/hour job and he's 23. He knows he shouldn't be smoking and I absolutely hate that he does. When he failed the test...I didn't feel the least bit sorry for him. He needs to grow up and learn how to hold a job... Is this enough reason to dump him and kick him out... He will be on marijauna "leave" for 30 days and I don't want him just hanging out at my apt all day. Can I kick him out??? Or is that just cruel? Because maybe he has a problem...Similar experiences anyone?

The real question is why are you with a guy thats smoking pot. Your fine with a guy smoking pot with a job but not without a job. Iam not sure I understand. Pot can lead to other drugs which inturn leads to other desease which is then passed to his loving gf etc etc. Get rid of him as a bf and as a roommate and have a drug free lease drawn up for your next roommate . Oh and you may wish to get yourself tested.

bf meanting best firend of boy friend? if he is your boyfriend then get him out of there as fast as possible. he is 23 he should be finishing school with a degree or be working full-time already with a steady job and some sort of goal, like saving to buy a house or something. it does not sound like he is going anywhere and if you stick with him you probably wont either

you are faced with a puzzling dilemma!
clearly he is not very smart.
he knows there are drugs tests and he drugged himself anyhow.
i suspect he will continue to be as he is now.
you don't want to carry a heavy load on your back if you want to make something good of your life.
let him know your are not in a position to deal with anything related to drugs. let him know if he smokes marijuana again he will have to go.
you are not qualified, and very likely you do not have the resources to reform a drug addict.

Well, you need to have a talk with him, tell him that he can stay, if he gets help, to stop, and if he holds down a job. If not, then he needs to leave

its ur house u can kick him out if u want to. if u has a drug problem he may need u now than he ever has. but if hes just lazy and not going to change then def kick his but out of ur place.

Dump him unless you wanna be his sugar mama for life. Go for greener pastures and find a man who meets your specifications. Define your ideal guy and go after him. Good luck.

if you care enough about him, talk to him and tell him how you feel, also remind him that he would go futher in life drug free, everyone make bad choices and if your there to help him its alot easyer then dumping him and watching him crash and burn.
