If not, then how can you say there is no God? You would have to have infinite knowledge to be sure. So to me it looks like you have to have more faith to believe there is not a God then to believe there is one.

Who are these people and do you know any of them? How do you know that they do not know about Jesus. If you ask them then they would know.

I do not claim to know everything. If I knew everything then that would make me God. Jesus is my God not me. I know about .ooo1 percent or less compared to God's knowledge.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather

If you can turn my question back on me. I am talking about my faith. So this would mean you have a faith and a religion. your faith is there is no god and your religion is you are the god of yourself.

Isn't it just as arbitrary to say that "because we are here, there exists exactly 10 tiny particles at the following coordinates: 789 mark 4.
When are you going to learn that a belief in a God (man's image) is not necessarily true or false, but completely arbitrary in the cosmic sense? And that being arbitrary, it is completely absurd to contemplate the truth or falsity of such hearsay? That is what we are talking about right? "Some weird ancient guy said there was a God that looked like us, and I believe him!" Congratulations to all those who even find it interesting to waste time with this, I guess you are all easily entertained, or should I say 'preoccupied'?
Theists, I challenge you to get off your kick attacking atheists ( you run around in circles because your arguments are just as circular as theirs and you will just end up 'polarizing' them) and attack some agnostics. Go ahead, I dare you! Or are you all just cowards?

One only needs faith for those things that don't have any evidence. I don't need faith to know that atheism is the most rational position to take because I know there is no god. There is no evidence of a supernatural entity. If there were a deity, one would have to wonder why said deity is deaf to the prayers of billions, mute and unable to communicate its existence to us, and so completely powerless as to be unable to impact our material world. Human beings are making the world worse every single day and ONLY human beings can do anything to improve it. There is no celestial superman to bail us out.

False argument. I'll reverse it so you can see this. Do you know everything in this world? If not, then how can you say there is only the Christian god? It looks to me like you have to have more faith there is only one true god than no god at all. Your argument sucks.

I am an atheist, and I do not know everything there is to know in the world. I can easily say there that I do not believe in any god/s, because there is absolutely no evidence to support the existence of any god.
I can easily say this just as easily as you can say there is no invisible pink unicorn that rules the universe and lives in my garage.
It takes absolutely zero faith to not believe in something.

we never said we knew everything.
but neither do you, so how do you know there IS a god?
the difference is that we base our beliefs and opinion on fact
and no, it doesn't take more faith to believe there is no god because we have scientific proof of things like evolution and the first law of thermodynamics (which states that matter cannot be created, so there can be no creator). you base your beliefs on a book that cannot be proven and in fact, most elements of it have been DISproven (take noah's ark for instance)

I never claimed to know everything there is to know. I do know the bible is just an old book that contradicts itself time and time again, then purports to be the word of an infallible god. How can that be?
You seem to claim you know everything with the simple answer, god did it, and don't look any further.

They know everything. They are all-knowing.
It seems to me that with all the complexities in the universe, there has to be other options other than God or no God. I refuse binary reasoning. My mind stays open.

How can you say there is one? Because a book tells you so?
"Jesus loves me, this I know, 'cause the Bible tells me so."
That's your proof? That's good enough for you? Have fun with that, then.
