Yes. It's best to blanch them...take off the ends and either leave whole or cut in sections. Get a pot of water ready with a bit of salt. When it comes to a boil add your green beans and cook for about 3 minutes. Immediately drain and plunge into very cold water to stop the cooking process. When cold drain very well and pack in freezer bags. I like to freeze them in the quantity I would be using. Good luck!

If you want them to remain green, yes. Look at the frozen foods at the grocery store--if those veggies weren't blanched, they'd look yellowish and not so good.

Tey adding a little salt to the water before you put the veggies in.
