I go to my best friends house every Thursday or Friday, and every time I weigh myself just for the fun of it.
For a few weeks, each time I weighed myself I would vary from 125-127.5, and I just thought it was funny that it changed so much. I knew I wasn't overweight or anything, but everyone else said I would develop a complex about it from weighing myself so often.
For the past few weeks, my weight has been going down. One Thursday I was 126.5 and the next I was 123. I really don't think it's healthy that I lost 3.5 lbs in only a week. My friend said its probably a growth spurt, or because I pretty much just dumped soda (though I used to be addicted to it). I don't want to become so skinny that you can see all my bones...
What is a healthy weight for me at about 5'5"? Could it just be the lack of soda that made me lost that much that fast? I don't think I look skinnier, but the scale says I am...

I am 5'4" and doctor approved weight for my heighth is 105-135. You would add some to that (my guess is 5 pounds) for being an inch taller.
You are looking at 110-140, which means you are perfect. Right in the middle of the window.
Regarding the fluctuation, your body has different weight as it intakes food, digests it, uses energy, etc. Your true weight is what it is naked on the scales first thing in the morning after you go to the bathroom and before you eat anything. (Right out of bed). Go with that one.

Do not fret, healthy women (young and old) usually fluctuate in wieght by 5 pounds. This is due to the fact that around the menstrual cycle the body retains water (much like a cushion) just in case the womb will be carrying a fetus. Of course, we women all know that will not happen as long as we don't indulge in a certain activity (which I will not go there, because it's pretty much off the subject matter here). Once the cycle begins, we tend to lose a lot of water wieght that can range from 2 to 5 pounds.
Given you are 5'5", you are in a good weight range (123 - 135). Plus, if you exercise, keep this in mind......muscle weighs more than fat, and it looks a lot better!

Here is a link to calculate it. http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm I would give you a range but it differs because is it muscle or fat weight? Muscle weighs more than fat because it is denser packed. If you are worried watch your calorie intake. Make sure the calories you are getting are not empty calories like in soda or fast food. Go to this link to find out an ideal diet for you. http://www.mypyramid.gov/

Well all of those weights sound fine. Don't worry about losing and gaining a few pounds over time...it just happens. People lose and gain weight in one day. To see that your weight is healthy, check this BMI calculator:

go to this site it will help hopefully, soda does pack on the pounds due to sugar, so it could be that..but you should not be losing that much weight drastically like that. ..but sometimes your body fluctuates and it can be normal too.
