How do I get codec compressed files to play since media player doesn't support *.mov extension?

Question

I did the following: downloaded Codec QuickTime Alternative in order to play mov files in WMP by using the fillowing link.

However, when I got ready to play a *.mov file, after the Quicktime Alternative installation, it gave me screen to play the *.mov file, but NO picture or sound appeared on the screen. Please help me!!!! What am i doing wrong.

just go get quicktime. Its free and plays *.mov files

install this codecs then your media player will abel to play any file even mov extension or MWP
