Where is the thermostat located on a 97 dodge ram 1500 5.2L 318 2wd?

I'm replacing the radiator and have decided to check the thermostat but the position on which the hose goes into the top of the engine is akward. Im wondering if its going to be a pain to get to and replace...

Look for you radiator hoses, the upper hose goes to the thermostat, Look for this hose and it will go to a pipe that has two bolts holding this pipe down, inside this pipe cavity is the thermostat.

Remove the air cleaner. Remove the a/c compressor and without removing hoses, lay it over towards the passenger side. This makes the bolts holding the thermostat housing accessible.
