They allowed her to grow up to be the mess that she is. She's a horrible human being...everything that is wrong with our culture can be found in Paris Hilton. They never made her work or be responsible for anything so she grew up and all she cares about now is her looks and her things and partying. Is it really a surprise? Can she really be blamed? I can't say that I would have made my kids work if I were them..but irregardless of that..I still would have instilled in them decent behavior and the important things in life (not material, appearance and money). They look like the buffoons in this to me...showing up at her hearings like they wish they could get her out of this...My parents wouldn't even show up. They'd support me doing the time and learning a damn lesson. Seeing Kathy Hilton shed a tear is despicable! What do you all think? (besides really not caring about this girl anymore)...

Since Rick Hilton and his wife Kathy had four children all together, of which Paris and Nicky are two, I would say they did fairly well with half their children. I have never heard anything about the other two, and lately not much about Nicky. It appears Paris has problems psychologically that are just now coming to the fore. I don't know if her parents can be blamed for that without knowing all the facts.

I think you are jealous. I think if you had as much money as Paris your parents would have shown up! Paris isn't nearly as stupid as people think she is. She plays dumb, she gets what she wants. It's working magic for her. She does in fact work, and maybe you watch too much simple life. She can do laundry, she can do all those things. She's made a **** load of money from people like us sitting around watching her play stupid on television. She's a smart business woman if you ask me. As far as her doing the time, absolutely! She should do the time. But in all reality I know people who have done worse things than her and gotten off a lot easier too.

As far as parenting. She had a wonderful childhood. Just because you have money and have everything you want doesn't mean that your parents didn't instill values in you. I think people watch too much television.

And if all I had to worry about was my looks all day I'd be happy with that! She's single, beautiful, no children. Let her play! Wish I could!

Paris is an adult now and responsible for her own actions. A person can grow up with poor parents, and overcome this and become wealthy in their adult life. A person can grow up with parents that were a bad influence on them and go on to become a very influential person in society. The parents can not be blamed for everything a child does in their adult life. In Paris's situation, just because she did not have to work, does not mean she could not work etc......she had the perfect opportunity to volunteer to help those less fortunate than her and chose not to. Now she has to learn the hard way, mommy and daddy can't always bail her out when she misbehaves, nor should they.

she's 25 years old, she old enough to be responsible for herself. but at the same time I see what you're saying, her parents did somewhat create a monster. They spoiled her and raised her with little or no values. but as I said, she's 25 or 26 so she should know right from wrong, it's really not that hard. and I think her parents feel their whole family is above the law. I really don't understand why they think they're so special, what have they even done to help the world?

What a great question! Who is Paris Hilton, anyway, and why are people so obsessed with her? She's done nothing to deserve anyone's sympathy, in my opinion. I think she's a spoiled brat and that's mostly because of her parents! As soon as she's in trouble, she turns into this innocent little girl. It's really ridiculous and exasperating. I think she deserves the big reality check she's hopefully getting. I hope it changes her attitude completely!

Paris is human, pretty, and oh did I mention an aristocrat cat.

O.k. That is the good part, BUT she drove under the influence, did drugs and leads a lifestyle none of us can perceive.

If she didn't kill someone by now, with her driving or carelessness, that is all good. Better she serve jail time than a lifer for killing innocent people with Bacardi in her system.

Why doesn't anybody realize that Paris Hilton is 26 YEARS OLD and an adult - thus she is responsible for her own actions. I don't see her sister or two brothers out acting like she does.

I agree to a certain extent.
She can't do her own laundry, can't cook,
things like that make it difficult for kids
when they grow up.
She's spoiled. But doesn't everyone want their kids to have the best?

I also think that Paris is young.
When kids turn 18 to about 23 they are free.
Free to mess up, have fun, experiment with alcohol for the first time, try Pot, go to clubs,
and have fun.

I did it, my friends did it, almost everybody
has a Lot of fun at that age.
Because she's in the public eye,
it sounds worse than what it is.
Like she's all out of control.

I think she's young, and entitled to
make her own mistakes so she can
learn from them.

I see your point and if she was a teenager i would 100% agree. But she is what, 26-27? At some point in your life you must take responsibility for your own actions.

O.K. She is like 27 right. She is responsible for her actions, as are the rest of us; furthermore, did anyone see how smug she looked when she was let out by the sherriff. I'm glad she was sent back to the jail. This is what REAL life is.
End of discussion.
