these are a few scriptures that I have found that are so different than other Bibles..( I can't say all because I have compared a lot but not all )..Your bible that you use has such different meanings to the scripritures the way it was translated..These changes are important ones..Wouldn't Jehovah make sure that the bibles that are in most homes be the right one..not with such drastic differences. Its no wonder you believe what you do..Your bibles have a different translation to these scriptures. Do you know who translated your Bible and if they were qualified to do so? I don't think most JW's know ..but its so easy to research it and find out..maybe they should take the time to do so. Should and are you putting more trust in man than in God.?Exodus 3:13 compared with John 8:58..... (Both God and Jesus say I AM, but JWs bible has Jesus saying I have been.)

Colossians 1:15-17.....(JWs bible inserted the word "other" 4 times so that Jesus is now the creator of all "other" things and before all "other" things ect.)

Hebrews 1:6....( Changed "worship" to 'obsienence') also did it in Matthew 2:2,11 14:33 28:9

Hebrews 1:8...( should say "But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;) the JWs says "But in reference to the Son...)

Acts 20:28...(speaking of the church that GOD PURCHASE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD), JWs say with the blood of HIS OWN SON)

Luke 23:43....( Changed comma in Jesus speaking about paradise)

Titus 2:1......( Great God and Savior ,Jesus Christ changed to Great God AND OF THE savior Jesus Christ)

John 17:21....(Changed Jesus saying.."as You, Father, are in Me and I in You" to "Are in UNION with me"

Acts 10:36...(Jesus changed to Lord of 'All others' they also did it in Romans 8:32, and Philippeans 2:9. and Collosians 1:16-17)

Romans 9:5....( Changed.."according to the flesh, Christ came , who is over all, the eternally blessed God." to "according to the flesh: GOD WHO IS OVER ALL)

John 10:38...( changed Jesus's words that He is in the Father and the Father in Him, to 'in union with '.)

This is what happens when you allow others to tell you what the truth is instead of researching the Truth yourself.

1Cor 10:4 God in Christ reconciling the world back to Himself
John 14 Jesus said when you have seen me you have seen the Father.

The problem is they do not understand John 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God not a God; because there was only one God in heaven not two.

And the word was with God. How could the word be with God and be God at the same time? Because the word existed in the mind of God; like an invisible playmate. Jesus said in John 17 "And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world began. How could this be? when Jesus came to earth as a baby yet had a relationship with God in heaven.

When you create your own religion you can interpret scripture any way you want. The JW bible is nothing more than the King James with words changed to fit what they are told to believe.

Every one of the verses mentioned above has been discussed repeatedly, and can be discussed again if they are separated into individual questions or at least smaller groupings. While trinitarianism cherishes a handful of spurious and mistranslated phrases to steady the shaky tenets of their philosophy, the truth is actually woven quite thoroughly throughout the bible.

Jehovah's Witnesses certainly do not depend upon particular wording of a few lynchpin Scriptures to support their understanding of God's will and purposes. Using the totality of the Scriptures, it is nearly impossible to miss the bible teaching that God Jehovah the Father is one person and Christ Jesus the Son is a separate person who is distinct from his Father. Jehovah's Witnesses recognized and taught that bible truth in the 1870's, nearly 100 years before "New World Translation" was completed.

So is it really so that Jehovah guarantees that everyone would maintain an open mind and heart to the truth?

(Acts 16:14) Jehovah opened her heart wide to pay attention to the things being spoken

(Luke 24:44-45) All the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me [Jesus] must be fulfilled.” Then he opened up their minds fully to grasp the meaning of the Scriptures

Is it really Scriptural to suggest that the majority would recognize and heed the plain message of the entire bible?

(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

Have you ever looked in a NIV Bible the words have been made easier for us to understand but, the meaning is the same.In a JW's Bible all the society has done is putGod's name back into the Bible where the first publishers took it out.Back along time ago we even had Bible Burnings because people felt it was too sacred to have in the Bible. Its done with alot of research. We believe in everything that is Bible Based. If a Bible can't prove it , it's a pagan belief that other religions believe but not us.I had to explain this to my husband that's not a JW.His answer is very incorrect. We serve 238 lands with alot of different languages but it means the same.Any more questions go to watchtower.org
If you know the Bible it also says not to judge others. And thats what people do to us, all 6.7 million of us.

*reads the prologue while holding his breath, hoping not to suffocate in the process*

"Wouldn't Jehovah make sure that the bibles that are in most homes be the right one..not with such drastic differences"

Drastic changes, hmm. You mean like having the Divine Name removed from various translations???

I'm not a JW, but the answer to your question is, Each religion interpets the bible in their own beliefs. God would roll over in his grave from the way the bible has been retranlated from it's original form.
