I have no idea, I have a 9, 6 and 4 y/o and they are like a bunch of pigs eating at the trough. Maybe when they are grown and have kids of their own!!

At the early times they are learning and experimenting. As they learn how to hold spoons and forks they usually are less messy. My oldest is three and she still makes a mess sometimes but nothing of catastrophic proportions. She usually does quite well when eating her food. My youngest is 18 months and she throws her food over the side sometimes but is usually pretty good about not making a mess. I let her self feed things like green beans or chicken tenders, or even pasta without sauce. This is usually effective in preventing a mess.

I have a 19 month old girl and she is very messy! we've had to buy a carpet cleaner to make the carpet all the same colour. Now I put down a huge plastic sheet with fish on so that catches the flying food. I hope she gets better soon!

there is not really and "age" but you can do some things to help them.
1. Don't give them more food when they drop it. This works for really little ones. Sure it is fun to make spagetti patterns on the floor when you know you can just have more to eat.
2. I told my older ones if they can't eat nicely at home, no more going out for dinner. That fixed them real quick.

my daughter stopped ingesting toddler food altogether at approximately 10-3 hundred and sixty 5 days. She in simple terms did no longer like it anymore and needed in trouble-free terms "grown up" food. attempt giving your daughter the Gerber Graduates food...my youngster loves those. At 2 years previous she could definitely be off the toddler food.
