It takes practice. Your mind is highly responsive, and elastic; but without discipline, it will wander off like an unleashed dog. If you want to meditate, keep at it. Be gentle with yourself, and patient.

I basically choose a snug chair or pillow on the mattress, lower back help, & some insurance that no one will interrupt me, inspite of the shown fact that that takes place at time. Even the motor vehicle seat in a motor vehicle park or parking storage is each from time to time extra perfect than at residing house. The parking storage is excellent & cool in the summer season. With somewhat success, there isn't too plenty site visitors. in spite of everything, the motor vehicle seat interior reason snug now after being too stiff whilst it replaced into new. overdue in the day i will do somewhat religious interpreting & writing, as long because it does not save me up too overdue. I pray very presently basically earlier falling asleep, too. this would look like plenty, yet incredibly maybe that is an hour or 2 counting the interpreting. Walks are sturdy, too, although that is tough to have the choose power for that, incredibly for extra suitable than 10 min. some situations an afternoon. a minimum of I do get to work out some vegetation & wood as quickly as I do.

This is a very common problem for people who are just starting out meditating, so don't feel like you're alone in that.
You might want to just try to start off with just working on relaxing, instead of trying to clear your mind. Try laying down (if you're comfortable doing that) and start with just relaxing your toes.. then your feet, your ankles, your calves, your thighs, etc.. all the way up to your head. Stay relaxed for a few minutes.. then slowly sit up and "ground'.. do that for a week or so first.. that will help you with quieting down.

Many blessings on your path!

Classical music, candle, dark room, picture anything that gives you peace. It could be a flower, the ocean, the forest, a tree, or anything associated with your faith. Works everytime for me.
