It's true. They weren't raised to believe if they choose anything other than a Ford Mustang, they're going to hell

What about atheists?
Doesn't it bother you that some atheists choose to not believe in god based on resentment or anger versus rational thought?
How many times do you here some atheist say, "I left Christianity because Christians are a bunch of racists".
Does this statement justify becoming an atheist?
Of course not!
I submit to you, if you leave Christianity because of an unresolved inner conflict then you are not a true atheist.
A true atheist becomes an atheist based on rational thought.
An atheist researches the natural world in a attempt to seek god.
An atheist studies the various religions in order to decide god does not exist.
If an atheist simply leaves religion because of anger, and then proclaims himself an atheist, he is just a closet christian.
He is fooling himself.
Using your logic, he needs to decide atheism is the right choice by logic.
Logic tells him he must research the natural world and religions so he can formulate a decision based on rational thought.
Many atheists never research anything about religion.
They just choose to simply not believe.
The same argument can be said about atheists.
Have you studied all the religions in order to justify a rational decision?
If you did, good for you.
At the same time, you are also saying atheists don't put much logic into becoming atheists.
God Bless

I did not choose a god, but The God.
I did so with reasoning, thinking, weighing the evidence and even logical thought.
Doesn't it bother you that people put more logical thought into choosing a car than they do in choosing other belief systems? How much thought does it take to accept a pile of unlinked evidence which points to an unproven theory and accept it as fact?
The logic can go both ways. I mean no disrespect.

You're right. A lot of us are born into a religion that has it God already. This way we never questioned the god that we say we serve. A lot of time we serve the god of man that will overlook a lot of the things that we do. Where the true and lining God calls us to righteousness.
We spend time on a car because it benefit us,. We want to look good and drive large. It is here and now.

I have put much into consideration, and would you like to know what I found..
That all Gods/Goddesses are the same as your Gods/Goddesses.
I choose to believe that I have all of them with me as a collective.
I also believe that I could be wrong and that I am believing in something entirely imaginative...

People very rarely 'choose a god'. Most people stay with the religon they were brought up with, very few change. If they do, though, I'm sure they research it or at least make sure it makes sense to them.

Doesnt it bother you that all athiests can do is set on a computer all day and come up with insults for God and those who believe in Him? If an athiests parents put more logical thought into birth control than partying, then the world wouldn't have all this hate and irrational fear that we have...

No, I did not choose God he chose me. If I use your example, it would be like the car dealer coming to my house and given me the best car he has as a free gift. If Jesus Christ is not you God then, to use your example again, it would be like you bought a used car that was broken down and did not take the free gift as stated earlier.

The difference is your Honda didn't create you.
"Don't bother telling me that I'm my Father's son
'cause that was just an accident of birth.
I'd rather look around me, compose a better song
'cause that's the honest measure of my worth."
- Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull
I put a lot of thought into my choice to follow the Christian God.

Doesn't it bother you that you're naive enough to believe logic is involved in "choosing a god"...
