Right now there is no difference.
There is a one hour difference in Summer (day light savings from about November to March). Theat is because Brisbane does not have daylight savings and therefore Sydney would be behind one hour.

During Winter there is no time difference.
It is different in Summer because of Daylight Saving Time.
Sydney in New South Wales has Daylight Saving and Brisbane in Queensland does not.

One hour during summer. But I think the governent try to make all states on the east coast on the same time zone. So far in the east coast, only Queensland has daylight savings in summer, which is different to NSW, Victoria and Tasmania

Cruel people, of whom I am not one, say 25 years.
During daylight saving Sydney is AHEAD one hour, not behind. Otherwise the time is the same.
