I think it's the squared hypotenuse is muliplied by a thing called pi which is 3 point something times the radius. Approximately.

Just thought of something as I left school 13 years ago.

If you draw another triangle exactly same as if it is a mirror image then it will make a square.

Work out the area of that square then half it!!!

You use Pythagorem's Theory. It states that the square of the hypotunus of a triangle(The longest side) is equal to the square of the sum of the other two sides of the triangle. I learned that in nineth grade geometry.

say the bottom (base) is 4 feet and the height is 2 feet
the formula is (1/2 of the base) multiplied by the height.
so you would do 2*2 which equals 4 square feet.
