For starters, the State of Israel's motivations are not primarily predicated on religion since it is not a theocracy.
Secondly, Jewish religious belief states that the temple in Jerusalem will be built miraculously when the Messiah comes and without any objections from anyone. Until then, there is no motivation to implement such a plan by force. If you think otherwise, then please state any Jewish religious authority of note that backs that up.

NO! As an ultra orthodox Jew, I can tell you that it goes totally against our Torah. Jews are not even supposed to stand on that land since it is so holy.
When Meshiach comes, the third temple will be rebuilt on the same spot once again (final time) and we will finally be able to use that land. Until then we cant touch it.
It is very sad that the holiest spot on earth has to have a filthy mosque over it.

I believe you are referring to the Israeli people. There are more than just Jews in Israel. There are Christians and there are even Muslims who live in Israel. Please do not make the mistake of referring to Jews when you mean Israelis.
