Have there been any changes?

You should take him to the Dr. He could have a bladder infection or other physical problem.

have you had him checked by the doctor for any physical disorder that may be causing his bladder weakness. If you have, and a physical cause has been ruled out, it may be just a habit that he has formed. If so, I would try to break it by a reward system. For every dry day and night he has, offer him a treat. During the day, insist he go to the toilet (even if he says he doesn't need to) at set times and before going out. This should help him to form good toilet habits.
If these don't work, there may be some deep-seated psychological trauma for his wetness. Does he appear to be frightened of the toilet? Does he poo regularly? If he is o.k with going to the toilet for a no:2 is it a form of attention seeking?
Your first stop must be the doctor, who can refer you to a paediatrician to rule out any physical cause. I personally think that it may be a habit he has gotten into, and if this proves to be the case, remember to explain to his teacher, and ask for him to be sent (discreetly) to the toilet at the times you have chosen. Good luck!

He most likely has a sensitive bladder. Which basically means his nerves are damaged possibly from stress. They have plenty of medications thru your Doctor which are safe for children. The medicine will calm the overactive nerves in the bladder enabling it to hold more liquid without losing control. Make sure you check with different doctors some might have different things to say... or because some Doctorss have no Idea what they are saying!?

I think you need to take him to your GP, you may get referred to a clinic that deals with these problems. A friend of mine has a daughter who is wetting the bed at 7 years old and her bladder control is terrible during the day. She goes to a clinic and they've been asked to monitor how much wee she makes during the day (literally by taking a jug to the toilet) and making sure that she drinks at least a litre of water a day. This is because her bladder may not have stretched enough to hold the urine for long enough so she always needs a wee. Have you spoken to his class teacher to make sure he uses the toilet a few times a day to empty his bladder? Is he very preoccupied and just forgets to go, he make need constantly reminding so that he recognises when his bladder is full.

I hope you get it sorted it must be hard work and embarrassing for your son. Good Luck

There are lots of possible reasons. One obvious one, is for the negative attention he is receiving but since you state he's always been this way, I'd say take him to the doctor for a physical. He could be a diabetic or have some other health problem and that is the only way to find out.

Does he use the toilet at all ?

Sometimes this can be caused thro a uti or a kidney infection ...
have u taken him to the Dr's for tests ?

If its not thro a physical problem then i suggest it maybe from a psychological problem .. either way get him back to the docs assuming u have taken him b4 and demand some help ... not only is unhygienic it can also be demeaning for him and have some terrible psychological effects ...

Obviously, there are serveral possibilities at this age. Does he still wet himself when he is awake? Does he have any cognitive issues or physical issues? It could be anything from sheer laziness, to a physical problem with a muscle that holds urine in the bladder. You can only get a real answer to this problem from a doctor/urologist. Please set up an appointment.

I think if your son is wetting his self during the day on a regular basis then you should see a doctor with him. It could be a medical problem, or he maybe stressed in some sort of way. It is best to get it checked out.

if this has always been happening and its nothing recent, have you tryed potty training him?! i mean when he does it does he realise it as he is doing it? does he feel the need to go for a wee? or does he have no control?

need more information to be honest, when he does it, does he realise it, does he ever feel like he needs a wee, if he doesnt, it could well be medicial

take him to the doctor, a boy that age who has been potty trainned shouldnt be wetting himself

you say he has never been dry??

have you even tryed to potty train the child? a child of this age should be able to control himself.

If it's not a medical problem, then he needs to be disciplined. Check with the doctor first. Or you could just put him in diapers like the rest of the babies in the world. Maybe that will humiliate him enough to get him to stop.
