Our Creator is indeed a loving God.
What kind of God would actually torture anyone, especially forever? That is something a sadistic ruler would do. Certainly a God of love, mercy and justice would not even think of such a horrible thing, and he never will.
The wicked are not tortured in any way, only put out of existance, with no hope of a resurrection. The dead cannot feel pain. They are conscious of nothing at all.
"For evil-doers shall be cut off (NOT BURNED); but those that wait on Jehovah, they shall possess the land."--- Psalm 37:9

The New World Translation by Jehovah's Witnesses says that "evil doers will be CUT OFF" which is another way of saying they'll go to sleep and NEVER WAKE UP

God is a loving and peaceful God, and he gives everyone the choice between good and evil. He never says there aren't consequences for our choices. He would rather no one choose evil, but you can't have love without free will. Do you want someone to love you because he has to, or because he chooses to? God feels the same. He wants us to choose him, but He won't force it. That is why most denominations of Christianity today fall short of conveying God's love, instead they come across as pushy and thought controlling hypocrites.

The "evil doers" die and the surviving living are at least rid of them. Every living thing, and that includes trees, flowers and lichen, become part of God once they die. God is not human. God is nature. Nature has no "human" mind. Humans would like to think that they are the paragon of creation, but consider the lilies of the fields. Solomon in all his glory . . . etc.

The absence of God's presence does indeed cause a deep spiritual "burning" which is what hell is. However, God did not "create" hell....our refusal to obey God did.
God IS a peaceful, loving God.....to the point where he gave us free will.....free to choose good over evil. He indeed waits a lifetime for us to turn to him....which is why ALL Christians MUST reject the use of the death penalty. If God is willing to wait a lifetime for a murderer to convert to him and to seek pardon for committing a sin against one of his creatures, how dare we presume to cut that time short? No matter how heinous the crime, we MUST reject the violence of the death penalty and pray instead for the perpetrator to see the light -- God's light of infinite mercy. Since Jesus came to heal the sick and murder is an illness, we must commend the offender to God's healing love.

I think that "evil doers" is an inherently silly phrase that reflects a comic book mentality and an overly simplistic world view. If only that didn't include the president!

God doesn't spend much time in hell as I understand it. I think that is Satans domain.
I think probably not in any case. In my experience 'evil doers' seem to enjoy a long retirement and then get buried at public expense.

I believe that in the afterlife we will all create our own heaven or hell based on what kind of person we are in this life... I don't believe there is actual fire waiting for those that are "evil doers"...

Flames are a figure of speech. But any figure of speech has a literal point. What is literal is that its a place of heartbreak ... loss of everything. People in hell are those who are self absorbed and narcissistic, who have rejected God all there lives. Hell is not a sentence but the end of a path that is chosen. Couldn't it be for this kind of person heaven would be hell?
