Where or who did you get your information? The Lucifer who later became satan/the devil was created by God so how can the created thing have as much power as its creator? The only power satan has is persuasion or temptation. He can't do anything else above that without Gods say so. It is when we agree with satan in temptation and do the thing he suggests that we become susceptible to the consequences of the sin committed and thus we give satan an open door to afflict us even further than the consequence of sin itself. For example, gluttony is a sin. The temptation is to overeat. A year or two of this probably won't kill us but over time disease, discomfort, and finally agonizing death are the result and all of this starts with temptation. Satan's only goal is to kill, steal, and destroy. He can have his way when we give in to temptation.

The devil has no way any power over believers., He is around and tempting people but we are not into the balance of opposites here. He is always subordinate to God. If he had as much power he would also be as smart right? So he tried to tempt Jesus to sin but he couldn't. Then he tried to kill Jesus but he couldn't. A lot of people serve the devil and are really rich and powerful, but in the end they have to pay up and they crumble. Look at any politician when he starts his power trip and when he finishes it - what a price to pay. But God paid the ultimate price by laying His own life down. God created the devil. The devil never created anything except mischief.

The devil only has as much power as the people give him with their words and actions. God gave dominion of the world to man, man's words and actions are what causes the bad things to happen. God told man what is right and wrong, anything outside of those guidelines brings the consequences of sin which are death, and destruction.
God is a good God, the bad things that happen is because we disobey Him.

God don't bring no bad things upon us, yo, this ain't the old testiment no more...
...and the devil is one of God's angels (the most beautiful that went astray), thus he is below God always and must answer to God always...
...so God can squash the devil's stuff against us humans, but you can imagine how bad it would be if God stopped everything bad that happens to us all the time...

so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

Why, when given a choice between worshipping a God who wants for you to experience everlasting joy or worshipping a being who wished to torture you for all eternity, would you choose the latter?
And where in the Bible does it teach Satan is equal in power to God? Whenever Satan does something in the Bible it is made clear that God is allowing him to do it. Satan is a created being. He is under God's power and authority.

Satan is arrogant enough to believe he has as much power as God and even blind enough to believe he is going to win the war for Gods people, but I got to tell you something maybe you haven't figured out he is the reason for the bad..Satan comes to kill steal and destroy and Christ came so that we may have abundant life.... and by the way the power Satan has over anyone is what they themselves allow him to have...he is trying to steal from us it is up to us to take it back.
