Do you really believe that or do you just like to bait Catholics. I hope it's the latter.
Percentage wise, there are more non-clergy pedophiles in this country. There are more fathers, brothers, coaches, neighbors, uncles, etc. who desire to have sex with children. Just watch To Catch a Predator on Dateline. Many of those men are married. Many of them are father's themselves. Pretty sad.
One thing you can be sure of, is that next to the word pedophile in the dictionary there is a picture of a man...you never hear of women committing this disgusting, perverse crime. How would you like it if all men were classed as pedophiles? Would that be fair to all the decent men out there?
There have been a few sick, bad, priests...but there are many, many good, decent priests. It's a shame you don't focus on them.
Plus, most of the clerical sex abuse would fall under pederasty...which is homosexual not pedophilia.

"Pedophile" is the term the secular press likes to use to decsribe those few priests who have committed crimes involving adolescent boys. Of course such priests are not really pedophiles. They are simply homosexuals doing exactly what many non-clerical homosexuals do. But "pedophile" creates more of an emotional response than "homosexual" does, and that of course is the aim of the sceular press, which have a personal vendetta against the Catholic Church because the Church is the principle obstacle to their hyperliberal, pro-free sex, pro-divorce, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual agenda. Avoiding the term "homosexual" in describing such priests allows them to avoid casting homosexuality, one of their golden calves, in a negative light. Of course it also deludes the public, but that's nothing new.

So a pedophile isn't someone who loves feet?
