ndiswrapper is older and i would not recommend using it and ive tried for hours messing with it on my dell e1405(read on if you want to see how i got it working : ) )...what distro are you using?what is the desktop environment GDE OR KDE? yes the answer to the first question is acid rip i love this program by the way : )...answer to the 2nd question is you need FWcutter to extract the firmware from the windows wireless driver...now wireless cards with a broadcom chipset arent legacy which is most likely what your using...a quick Google search for fwcutter and your wireless chipset will give you all the info you need to get wireless working....also check your distro's knowledge base and wiki...or you could end the frustration with fwcutter(becuase isnt always compatible with the driver you need) and replace the card with one with an intel chipset and thats deff going to work right away....N E questions just ask...
