to start with, every living thing on the planet must kill some other living thing so that it may continue to stay alive, not to mention mans inhumanity to man for sport or for gain, and natural events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions etc. why would a benevolent, loving, harmonious god create such an incredibly violent and bloodthirsty world as this? this would seem to be a contradiction no?

In the interest of accuracy, I have to point out that most plants do not need to kill to survive. Some do, such as the venus flytrap and pitcher plants, but most of them only need dirt, water, air and sunlight.

It appears you are right, Dojoman, but that was not ¨God´s original plan.

In the beginning not even plants were to die. God gave fruits, nuts, and grains for our subsistence.

Can´t tell you why, but after sin entered, God allowed the herb (plants).

Man went too far and the earth was filled with violence--thus the rescue mission of Noah and kin. After the flood, God permitted animals to be part of our food chain. I´m a vegetarian, for health, not moral reasons. But look toward a new Earth where the lion will eat straw with the ox, and ´¨no one will hurt in My holy mountain¨.¨

This planet is a ¨spectacle unto the universe¨of the effects of rebellion against God´s government. It is so awful here that when the New Earth is established, there will be no more pain, death, tears, or destroying, AND sin will not rise the second time.

God hid a secret message in the Bible code, only unsealed at the end of the days. It will explain God´s remedy for saving this planet, identify the Antichrist (still to come), and the timing of the great conflict between good and evil. select www.revelado.org/revealed.htm

Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, and earthquakes kill tens of thousands of people each year. Multitudes endure crippling diseases, endless suffering, and unspeakable pain (see Romans 5:12 footnote). Many non-Christians credit a heartless Mother Nature for giving us all this grief. They fail to consider that "Mother Nature" has a Senior Partner—Father God. However, if God is responsible for all this heartache, that presents an interesting dilemma.

If God is an "all-loving" Father figure, as we are told, we seem to have three choices:

1) God blew it when He made everything (He’s creative but incompetent);
2) God is a tyrant, who gets His kicks from seeing kids die of leukemia;
3) something between God and man is radically wrong.

These are our choices...and those who take time to consider the evidence will lean toward number three. Something between man and God is radically wrong, and the Bible tells us what it is. There is a war going on. We are told that mankind is an enemy of God in his mind through wicked works (Colossians 1:21). That’s not too hard to see. Man is continually committing violent acts such as murder and rape, lying, stealing, etc., as the daily news confirms. He uses God’s name as a curse word, while Mother Nature gets the glory for His creation—unless there’s a horrible disaster; then man calls that "an act of God."

An applicable acronym for WAR is We Are Right. Any country going to war does so because it has the conviction that it is in the right. However, a quick look at God’s Law shows us who is right and who is wrong. We, not God, are the guilty party. If we want His blessing back on our nation and in our lives, we must make peace with Him, and that is possible only through faith in Jesus Christ.

Perhaps its a Test. In the Book of Job, Job was a Godly man, he did everything according to Gods Laws..But satan wanted Job to be tested. So God allowed it believing that Job had the strength to Prove God was right....It is a very telling story..As far as the Animal Kingdom, God made them for a source of food for Man. No I don't think I could kill my kitty and eat it, but if I needed something to eat and the kitty was all there was, well I would Thank God for the Food He provided and get on with it.As far as all the Earthquakes, Hurricanes etc, maybe the Lord is trying to WAKE People up!!! Do you notice that AFTER a major tragedy people THEN go to God and Pray!!! Like Sept 11th, I bet a good many people were praying on that day, did it lead any to Christ, I bet a few came to know Him that day... As far as the Violence, don't forget there is satan....he is the one who is the father of lies and deception.....I think God is an Awesome God, he LOVED us so much He gave His only Begotten Son to die for us so that we may have Life everlasting....That is a Loving God....I see the contradiction in People Not in God. People want to Party, they get drunk, get in a car and either kill them selves or some other innocent Life. God didn't force the alcohol down their throats, they listened to satans lies and did as they pleased....Then when things go wrong they Blame God???/ No God doesn't just Change His mind, man does.....you really need to get into the WORD.....and you'll see the truth...

That is the result of sin. All who believe that it was necessary to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil are not seeing that God had a reason to place man here. God has no evil reasons for doing anything. He said "Don't eat." and he meant it. He wasn't setting man up for failure. We don't know what would have been life on earth if Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, but sin changed the whole world and we are living in that changed world now.

God didn't create a "violent and bloodthirsty" world. He created a beautiful. harmonious world that we humans then set out to destroy. Why does he allow us to be the way we are? Free Will. "They say if you love something, set it free...if it comes back it's yours". It's the same principal as that old saying. God gives us the freedom to do as we wish... and he gave us the world to practice this freedom on. Because he loves us, he lets us choose whether we want to love and obey him.

So... God did not create this world to be that way... he created us, gave us free will, and WE have made the world the way it is.

As for the having to kill other things to survive... if you read Genesis, you'll see that in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after the original sin of Adam and Eve, it became that way because of our sin.

This question is the same as asking "if parents love their children, why do they make them go to school and do chores"

There is violence in the Heavenly`s.
Death/killing did not exit in the original creation of planet earth-Gods beautiful garden.
God saw that there was no one to tend the garden so, from the dust of the garden He created man/women to tend it.
Life plants was already done then life to the man came with Gods breath.
Everything was Alive!
From the Heavenly`s entered the garden a fallen angel named lucifer.
God told man/women not to do "one thing" in the garden and that was,"Do not eat of one of the trees."
But, they did eat etc.................
God tried to make something beautiful outside of Heaven, but it was infiltrated by the evil one b/c he/lucifer is a jealous little selfish master of lies.

There is a spiritual world and it is active.

Eternity was the purpose of this creation and without death until, you know.

Death entered b/c of disobedience/sin,lucifer/the liar.

God then, has given us a way back to the original plan Paridise b/c the evil one is still destroying The Creators beautiful garden and his created and beautiful humans, God sent Christ!

Peace and Love
It all began in the Heavenly`s.

God made animals to be used by man. He made a man and gave him commandment and He broke it. Because of this all men are sinners. It is not God fault but man. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: We die because all people are sinners. God has given us away to take care of our sins. The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth as a man so He could die for our sin. Believe and trust in that and you to can have eternal life. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Animals and plants were put here in order to sutain humans. It is right for humans to hunt, and farm, in order to sustain our flesh. Humans are not allowed to harm each other intentionaly under any circumstances. To do otherwise is to violate Christ's commandments that all Christians live under (and all humans whether they acknowledge Christ or not). For a human to harm another human purposefully is a sin.
Adam and Eve brought sin into our blood. Since then it has been born into us that we desire to do sin. It is through Christ that we can overcome this.
There are no contradictions with God. You need to see the world through spiritual eyes. Submit yourself to God and then read through the Bible. The world will look much different to you.

Oh gosh!.... It all started with that tree in the midst of the garden. You know? The one called the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It was imperative that they ate from that tree in order to know good. Otherwise, not having the knowledge of good would keep us from a relationship with God. We would see God as a master controller only. There is always a negative and a positive to anything that pertains to the five senses .Like hot and cold, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, love and hate, etc. So, to have the knowledge and experience of good, we have to have the negative as well, which is evil. We must know them both and experience them both. That's why God put both in one tree. Most say there was no sin until Eve disobeyed and ate from that tree. God told them not to eat from that tree. Eve told the serpent that God said she could neither eat from that tree or touch it. (first lie) God did not say anything about touching it. When she saw that the forbidden tree was good for food, (first lust ). When she saw the tree would make her wise and give her knowledge of good and evil just as God knew good and evil (verse 5 in geneses 4)......(first covet)....And then she ate. Oh yes! I know .......the ten commandments haven't been given as yet, but it still shows that mankind were sinners from their beginning and the state of their hearts and mind. ( She then gave to Adam and he did eat.) Did God not know that they would disobey Him? Did God not know where they were hiding, when He asked "where art thou Adam?). Of course He did ! God is omnipresent (everywhere) , omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (having unlimited power). Also God preordained Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world before the foundation of the world. (before the world was created). He knew that sin would come to mankind. Its a part of His great plan. Why This plan for us to experience good and evil?? So all His children will have the same knowledge as He does. So what better way to learn about evil is to experience it in one form or another, so that in eternity we will want no part of evil again..........no its not a contradiction, its a training experience.
