Don't go out with either one of them unless they are alright with you choosing one of them. I had a similar problem with my friend, and before I went out with our female friend I talked to him to make sure it was alright, I told him if he wasn't ok with it then I would not pursue her.
It just depends on them, if one of them is willing to lay off and let you and him have a relationship.

why dont you be friends with both of them, then once something becomes more with one of them, the decision should be easier to make, your bound to prefer one to the other.
