You will need to end up with a masters degree. There are many bachelors degree programs to get you started. They may have different names...speech pathology, speech and hearing, speech commucnications, etc. After that, you will need to continue to get your masters.

A speech pathologist (a speech therapist) would require a masters degree, to my knowledge.

My brother's wife is a speech therapist, and she has a Master's degree in speech therapy. Pretty straighforward.

Many schools have just that degree...
At University of Colorado-Boulder, it used to be called Speech therapy, then they changed the major to Speech, Language, and Hearing Science, but it's the same deal.
You just have to look at more schools to find one that has it...they don't all have archaeology or linguistics, either, you just have to find a school that does.
