I got a new tattoo about a week ago. it's pretty much all peeled and healed. i want to touch it up and add a bit more to it. do i need to wait another week? i hear the standard period in which you can go back and get additional work is 2 weeks.

Definitely wait a month total. You're just done with the first phase of peeling; there will be at least one more minor shedding.
The artist will be the final judge of when, but even if visually the tattoo looks done there is sub-skin healing still happening. If you just want to add around the tattoo and not on top of it, then you can probably (again, with artist okay) do that after the normal 2 week healing period.

I Think You Should Wait One More Week, Because If You Do It Now, It Could Irritate Your Skin. Since Im Not Completely Positive, I Recommend Asking Your Tattoo Artist. Hope This Helps! :]

Wow, your tattoo totally healed in one week, it must have been small. If it is small then as soon as you can handle the pain on tattooing a spot that has been recently tattooed you should be fine. Talk to you tattoo artist and they will take a look at it and let you know if your skin is ready. If it is large then you seem to heal relatively fast, if I was you I would give it 3 weeks between tattoo sessions.

Probably wait one more week, but ask your tattoo artist.
I have one on the top of my foot and they actually made me wait 3 weeks before I got it touched up.

your tattoo is not healed after one week. you need to wait atleast three weeks before getting a touchup but most artists would prefer longer.
