My throut seems to close even with water and I start to choke. I am supposed to be taking capsule shaped pills for the cold I've had for over a month. I am over being sick because I have heaps of stuff I'm supposed to be getting done at school and I always feel tired and worn-out.
I have tried having them with water, gurgling them, quickly swallowing, leaning back, affirmations, taking them down with milk, and crushing them in honey (but that doesn't really solve my problem does it?).
My mum is a nurse and has been gettign really mad at me about this and hasn't told me whether I can have the capsules crushed or not. I have tried having them with water several times, but since I can't get them down, they start to dissolve and I end up spitting them out because I don't know if they have to be in a capsule or not.
What should I do?
I'm sick of making myself hurl when the capsule gets stuck near my throut, drinking mass amounts of water and having everyone give me a hard time!

"If you can eat food you can take pills"- not true, I always chew my food down alot, but your supposed to swallow pills as a whole!
I have also practiced with peas but I couldn't even get those down!
I think its partly psychological!
