For me being a Muslim means knowing that there is only one God and He has no equals. It means praying 5 times a day, reading the Quran (our Holy book), and following God's commands. It means being patient and tolerant of others, dressing and acting with modesty and taking care of those less fortunate. It also means being honest in business and in life in general. Islam is a way of life for Muslims. It guides me and helps me live a much cleaner and healthier lifestyle and it fosters good relations with my husband and family, and everybody I associate with in my life. Converting to Islam is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It gives me a sense of purpose and true hope for the future, peace in my heart and much happiness.

I testify that there is no Diety (Lord) except the sole and matchless Allah. And the testification of the singleness of Allah is a word that Allah has declared sincerity (as) it's reality, and made the hearts the centre of it's contact and union. And has made the specifications and research of the oneness of Allah's station obvious and evident in the light of meditation. The Allah Who can not be seen by the eyes and tongues are unable and baffled to describe His virtues and attributes. And the intelligence and apprehension of man is helpless and destitude from the imagination of his howness.
Edit:
(((Asad)))) You said: The Muslims have no clue about their faith today .... 99.9% of them ,and they have no clue of the power they hold in their hands .... THE QURAN
Do you know the difference between those verses of the Qur'an which abrogate and those which are abrogated?
if your answer is: No
Do you have a command of the intentions of Allah in the parables of the Qur'an?
If your answer is no: No
Then you have perished and caused others to perish. A judge needs to know the various meanings of the Qur'an, the truth of the Prophetic way, the inward indications, courtesies, consensus and disagreements, and to be familiar with the bases of what they agree upon and disagree about. Then he must have acute discrimination, sound action, wisdom, and precaution. If he has these things, then let him judge.
The Holy Prophet said, 'Whoever is boldest among you in judging is also the most insolent to Allah'. Does not the judge know that he is the one who has come between Allah and His bondsmen, and that he is wavering between the Garden and the Fire? Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah said, 'How can anyone else benefit from my knowledge if I have denied myself its benefit?' It is inappropriate for anyone to judge on what is permissible (halal) and what is forbidden (haram) among creation, except for one who causes the people of his time, his village, and his city to follow the truth through obedience to the Holy Prophet and who recognizes what is applicable of his judgement. The Holy Prophet said, 'It is because giving judgement is such a tremendous affair, in which there is no place for "hopefully", "perhaps" or "may be".

Islam literally means to Submit oneself to GOD ... completley .... ONE GOD ... and Muslim is one who does that even if he knows nothing else.
Quran is the Truth from our Creator ... The ONE, The Power, The Wisdom, The High, The Mighty, The Giver of Life and Death, The Seeing, The Hearing, The Loving, The Merciful, The Severe in Punishment, The Forgiving, The Gracious, The One Who Surrounds Everything ..... God, Allah, Jehovah .. call him by any good name ... HE is The Iressistible ONE ..... thats part of what God means to me. The Quran Confirms what came before it in the Torah and the Bible and clarifies come of the disputes amongst the Children of Israel (Jacob) ... it invents NO NEW RELIGION. The true believers follow the Religion (WAY) of Abraham the True, he is the Father of the believers and leader to Mankind and a friend of GOD.
I try to make all my decsions based on the teachings in the Quran which I understand clearly ... what I don't understand ...... I don't need to understand. I do understand almost ALL of what is written in the Quran and why.
May God have Mercy on Mankind and Send us the Messiah He has promised ..... The Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Messenger of God, His Word, Pure, A sign to the Universe, not dead , never died on the cross, he knows the Book the Wisdom, The Torah and The Bible and he will teach the Quran .... which can NEVER contradict anything in the ORIGINAL TORAH and BIBLE although it may make life easier for Mankind.
The Muslims have no clue about their faith today .... 99.9% of them ,and they have no clue of the power they hold in their hands .... THE QURAN.

Everyone has hopes and aspirations. Put your believe in Allah and the whole lot will come to be well insha'Allah. For illustration, wasting weight - that's being a well Muslim, getting a measure and passing university all makes a well Muslim. Eating healthily additionally makes a well Muslim. As-Salam Alaykum

Being a Muslim means, to me, means following the words of Allah swt (The Quran) and listening to what our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said. It means believing that Allah swt has no partners and He is one. It means praying 5 times a day, doing good deeds, fasting when necessary, and giving charity when possible. It means remembering Allah swt all the time, as well as the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and keeping Islam in your heart always.
Islam, to me, means submitting yourself to Allah swt. It means doing everything you can for the sake of Allah. Whenever I think of Islam, I also think of love and peace. That's what the religion is all about, love, peace, sacrifice, and other major elements.
The Quran means a lot to me. It's my favorite book in the whole world. It's the direct words of our God, and I hope to listen and live my life based on what the Quran tells us to do. The Quran is a miracle to me, thanks be to God.
Allah's presence, especially when I pray, is amazing. While praying, I try to have fear, love, and respect in my heart for Allah swt.

It means to me to pray 5 times a day, give Zakat to the poor, fasting during daylight hours for one month by giving up sexual relations, food and drink to remember ALLAH(SWT) grace upon the ones lucky to have food and thank HIM for that and also to remember the poor people and how they go to bed hungry with nothing to eat. It makes me try to do good deeds and never waver from Islam. Islam to me means salvation and means that I believe that I should only follow and submit myself to ALLAH(SWT) and that I should respect all the Prophets of Islam from Adam to Muhammad(PBUT*). It means I should try to abstain from saying bad words and do my best to be a good person on this Earth and in this life so that I may Insha ALLAH go to Jinnah when I die and that ALLAH(SWT) has no parnters or sons and that none is worthy of worship except the one true creator and lord of the universe ALLAH(SWT). It means that I shouldn't strive for this world and be greedy because that only leads to the fires of Jahannam and Jinnah is so much better. It reminds me that I should honor my mother and my sisters and brother as well as my husband and spread the truth about Islam so when ALLAH(SWT) asks me if I spread the truth about Islam then I can truthfully say that yes I did my best to spread the truth of Islam. The Qur'an to me is the final revelation of ALLAH(SWT) and is the holy book of Islam and it is protected from being changed for all time by ALLAH(SWT) and was revealead to Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*) by the noble angel Gabriel during Ramadan in Mecca in the Prophet's(PBUH*) life. I feel relief knowing that the Qur'an will never be change or altered like the Injeel and Torah were by man. ALLAH(SWT) is all around me and I take comfort in knowing that ALLAH(SWT) answers my prayers even if I don't know that HE does and I also feel happiness that when I pray ALLAH(SWT) hears my prayers.

Islam coveres every aspect of life. For me, I start my day with dawn prayer. Praise my Lord before the beginning of the day. I try my best to be Islamic, meaning do good deeds as much as possible. Being a Muslim means one who has certain qualities and not every one who is with Arabic names. He must be trustowrthy, He smiles at others, He is fearing God in his actions, Loving, humble before other and never he shows pride etc. Islam is a way of life. Submitting our life to the will of Allah. We believe that universal truth before God is one. That is Islam. All Allah's propehts taught one message and worshipped one God. Quran is the word of God for guidance of man. God is speaking directly to man. We keep it as closer as we can. When recited it gives much pleasure inside and tranquility. It is something that makes me cry and soften my heart. Allah's presence, we believe He sees us all the time. He knows what is in our hearts. But as human nature, I forget sometimes in busy life of day. For this 5 times I am called to Masjid to remind me that God is above us all.
