I bought a 2007 Sierra pickup 4 months ago. The truck computer tells me I am getting an average of 15.7 miles per gallon. I have 9,000 miles on the truck and most are highway. I don't "stomp" it, or "gun" it, I am just a normal driver. So can anyone tell me what I can do to the truck to improve the gas mileage without voiding the warranty?

Assuming you have a 4.8, 5.3, or6.0 V8 and not a diesel, you can start with the common fixes like air cleaners by K&N, free flowing exhaust, and cold air intake systems. The next step costs a little more. Hi flow mass air sensors and throttle spacers help a little. A simpler fix may be reprogramming your vehicle's computer. Lowering your shift RPMs would be the biggest help.

I would not waste time and money on throttle spacers, cat back systems or free flow air cleaners. At full power, they MIGHT help. Dyno testing shows little actual gains at full power and that is NOT what you are after.
Check what axle ratio you have. If you have a numerically high number like 4.10, that will kill mileage. The lower,,numerically the number the slower the engine turns and the better the economy. Nest time you change tires, see if you can increase the diameter a LITTLE and recalibrate your speedometer. Electric fans would help reduce parasitic losses of the mechanical fan. BUT one big enough for your engine is NOT cheap and might require an alternator upgrade. The strongest electric fan at a reasonable price I know if is on the mid 1990's Taurus..Yes Taurus, but at high speed..was two speed, it take 50 amps to run.
Good Luck

The best thing to do would be to free up some HP with a intake, and exhaust system.

Plus the biggest jump probily would come from electric fans and the removal of the motor powered fan.

Change all of your fluids, lube the chassis, and install a K&N air filter system and an aftermarket performance exhaust. Babying it, I get 20 MPH in my 6.0L Yukon XL Denali per the computer. Carb cleaner once a month helps too. Keep your tires properly inflated and use your A/C as little as possible.

Absolutely. Also, put a halt to all those unnecessary tune-ups, oil changes and brake replacements. That's wasted money that's better spent on alcohol and nachos.

I'm a gm tech you could use a induction service fuel system process. or you can let the engine breath with a free flow duel exhaust system.
