We have had enough of the UK and we want our baby son to have a good and happy education and we don't want to have to work until we drop just to make ends meet. I am an IBM certifed (Lotus Notes) IT Admin and my wife is a qualified nursery school teacher. Where is the best place for us to go for our son and us to be happy?

Australia. Trust me I was born there and all my family still live there although I now live in England I would go back tomorrow if my girlfriend would have the guts to leave her family. It is a great country to live and work in and your children will receive a very good education in Aus.

Just to say congrats on making a wise move.
I think a spanish speaking country would be best, as the language isn't too difficult to learn.

I'm from Italy and I wouldn't recommend coming here.Considering that you probably prefer an English speaking country,I'd say Canada or Australia. The USA seem not to be the best place as it was in the past.

America obviously.

And since you work with IBM - an American company - it would make sense to go there. Plus your child will be able to get the best education the world has to offer.

I would definitely say the U.S (the country that I live in).. but you'd probably be happy in Australia, Canada, or other European countries. Whatever floats your boat, but we would be happy to have a Briton over here.. we love you guys :D

Not France (above all with the new neocon president!) but I'd advice you Canada (you'll easily find a job, the landscape is wonderful, etc, I love this country!).

OZ : it's one of the few countries left in the western world that has an immigration policy designed with the welfare of the host people in mind as its priority.
(Maybe NZ too)
Europe and the US -forget it!

I think Australlia or new Zealand would probably be best. The worst part would be the seperation from your friends and family.
I would not go to the USA. It is an extremely violent country and I would not feel safe even going there for a holiday.
