I saw something about coupons on Good Morning America today and was curious. Do you use coupons a lot? Do you think they are worth it. I think they sometimes try to get you to buy more with the help of a coupon, and sometimes you really save nothing.

You can save money with coupons. The trick is to only use the coupons that are for items that you know you will use. Just because a coupon can save you a lot of money it isn't any good if you won't use the item. So be careful when selecting what coupons you want to use.

I can tell you this much.I do my food shopping on Sunday. They never have my paper.I finally asked why they said"because a man comes in every Sunday and buys them all for the coupons"This paper THe Star Ledger has a great coupon section. So now on my way home I stop by CVS to purchase it and sometimes it is gone from that place as well.
So yes, I'd say they are good.

They help a bit. I only use them for things I need and regularly buy. If it says you have to buy 3, it's OK since I'd be buying it again in the future anyway. I track our grocery bills in Excel. And between coupons and the Safeway member card, our monthly grocery bill has dramatically dropped.

I only use a coupon for what I would buy anyway and then, yes, I save money.

if you have a stores near you that triples coupons up to 50€ and doubles them up to a dollar you can make a killing. when our store runs that special I'll stock up on cleaning supplies, toothpaste and deodorant. many times they pay me to walk out with some of those things especially if they are on sale at the store on top of that. it takes some effort and planning with store ads but one time i spent $85 and saved $80!!!!!!!!!!!
