A small male pomerainian dug his way into our 1 year old female boxers pen while she was in heat. Is it possible he got her pregnant?

Serve you right for not getting her spayed. You can expect this every time she is in heat - male dogs are very sneaky and determined. Do it now before its too late.

Yep certainly is, any breed of dog can get any other breed pregnant. Size really doesn't matter!
I would think the fact the female was in heat was the sole reason the male was so anxious to get in there!

I have a Chihuahua/Jack russell mix. She's small but on the large end of small.
When she went into heat I made extra sure to keep a close eye on her because we didn't want unwanted pups who had no homes. A small neighborhood Chihuahua managed to dig a hole under our fence and invite himself into our yard and home. After throwing him out two days in a row, the third day I sat and watched him in frustration. He tried his hardest to mount my girl who is almost twice his height. It was comical! I finally asked him if he needed a step stool. lol Needless to say a short while later, we had those unwanted pups.
So yes, yes and yes they will find a way!!

Certainly it is possible...the pomeranian will probably need to be carried or something while he performs a task. It is not impossible. Dachshunds have mated german shepherds before.
