Longhorn was the development name for the Windows Vista and Vista server. The name had been dropped for "Vista" on PC, while on the server edition of the operating system it had been replaced by "Microsoft Windows Server 2008".

It is an OS that is similar to Vista and can run same programs, but it is optimized as a web or file server (and much more expensive).
